There are several things that could do this...! Fist one is the auto protect of the engine due to the FAP, limiting the rev to max 3000RPM to protect the engine. Peugeot are great cars for people who know how to drive em. If u need from me more advice contact me here and we'll exchange ids. Good Luck!
This had nothing to do with the seat belt... If you watched the full video you would have noticed the engine failing and the rpm counter dropping to ZERO, while the gear was still on "D".

Just to post a follow up on this issue, after quite some time peugeot solved the problem. I don't know the exact technical name in English for the procedure they did, but it was the settlement of the engine valves. There was a gap in the valves that was not letting them completely close when they were supposed to. When the motor was hot, the metal expanded and it closed properly, that's why the engine only died when the car was cold.
Yup, they even updated the software. Just to post a follow up on this issue, after quite some time peugeot solved the problem. Whats beeping at the end of the video??
TGXtrucker 2 years ago
@ TGXtrucker: I think it is because he forgot to use the seatbelt
VWScence 2 years ago
The beeping is because of the seatbelt, but had nothing to do with the problem!

peugeot suck, no quality

Peugeot No Quality ? The 308 got a Higher Quality Dash than the Golf 5 at same age .
Hows that ?
peterkuhf 2 years ago
That's why the best solution is manual. Although i can't really understand why do all the 307's have a lot of electronic issues.

I have had Peugeot Automatics before and they are useless. Always going wrong and dealers can't fix them.
