Also I guess you could call me bit of a music snob and I do not like Lady GaGa at all. That isn't the type of music I like to listen to most of the time I like alternative rock or I listen to songs I grew up with from time to time and I think people like the character Lady GaGa is what is wrong with the music industry. All hype and marketing, no substance or genuine music. I understand a good beat and catchy lyrics are nice sometimes but I wouldn't dare support that genre.

Hi 'waves' Bill Mahr said before on his show years ago on politically incorrect he wasn't going to make jokes about Michael Jackson being a child molester because there was no proof he did it. I always felt a connection to Michael, I wasn't a huge fan but I was born in 82 so I saw his music videos and him on tv throughout my childhood. I have history on tape and listened to it several times.I wanted to be his friend.

Madonna, she can do no wrong in my eyes cause I have a huge crush on her :)

Lisa, I agree with you. the micheal jackson tribute, madonna, janet,, beyonce, taylor swift, green day, and even lady gaga were great! Yet kayne west was the talk of the town. There have been so many great moments on these award shows ... and Michael Jackson has been a part of those memories. Kayne was such a prick that he disrespected the entire event by doing what he did!

About hitting your stride before haters get to you... yes, a very small number of haters (or spiteful acts) can influence you if you're just starting out. I know someone who was incensed to get a 1-★ video rating!

Starting on YouTube I personally was afraid to even write comments or allow commenting on my vids, because of the hater comments I might get. But after a while I saw how small a minority the haters are and how they usually shrink away.

haters can really get to you. I had a viral video about a year ago and some of the comments really got to me backthen, as I was starting out with vlogs. After a year I now feel better equipped, plus I have the support from the friends I met along the way.

At the moment I'm experiencing it, as my latest video is getting a lot of attention, esp from scandinavia, and along comes mean comments, but I can brush it off now.

I have never heard Buck swearing the way he did today. :)
