  • People are so stupid. How do Christians not see?

  • You do realize that the guy who made it was trolling right? Did they even read what was in that book? It takes the piss out of christianity and judaism all throughout the book!

  • @MetalBru01 It doesn't really take the piss out of it. The bible takes the piss out of itself. All he had to do was illustrate the WHOLE bible, even the bits people don't talk about much (i.e. most of it).

I especially like the lego Lot being raped by his own daughters.

  • a distortion? out of context? a parody?

    absolutely not.... Luke 18:17

the brick testament - ha ha yes!!

get back in touch with your god and inner child

  • @BreathOFLaminin That would be the point wouldn't it? they do have that right. EXCEPT, you seem to be oblivious to the fact that they were bullied into it. Free market my ass, as long as the religiots approve.

  • I am so glad I am not a christian. To be in the same club as so many complete retards would make me ashamed to admit I was one.

  • I can't believe the actions of Sam's club. What a bunch of idiots. They have quite clearly never read either The Bible or The Brick Bible. As WhichDoctor so rightly says, irony and religion just don't mix!

  • @123barriejohn They pulled it because the brick "bible" is marketed toward children, yet displays nudity, and takes Scripture immensely out-of-context.

And, why do you care anyhow?! It's called a FREE MARKET. Sam's Club has the right to sell or pull from the shelf any product they want, it is THEIR BUSINESS.

  • woooooow

  • lol hes an atheist and he read the Bible and took all the time to make this?

  • @kingdomheart4ever Yes, he's an atheist. In the "On the Jews" part of the New Testament, it displays lego Christians in white cloaks burning Jews with a confederate flag behind them. I mean, COME ON, how obvious does it have to be for you?! This is not a Bible; it is an ATHEIST that is DISTORTING the Word of God.

WorldNetDaily has run an article today on Sam's Club pulling it from shelves because of concerned parents over its distortions.

  • @BreathOFLaminin yes i already knew the brick bible was distorted. im just saying he took all that time to read it and then buy legos to make a brick bible.

  • ' Btw I can not "deny" what does not exist. If I deny, it must exist.'

So fairies and unicorns must exist as well then. Total failure of logic, I'm afraid!

  • You all need to actually read it, because he uses so much sarcasm.

  • Rome Reports, you guys should not have made a video about this. The guy is an atheist and the whole project is an insulting parody. did you guys even check out his website?

  • @mf0579740 Does it matter WHY he created it? It's a masterpiece, both in the time required and in how good the illustrations are.

  • @MegF142857

many "atheistes" do serve faith without realizing, that they do. :-)))) Personally, I think there are no atheists in this world. If they say they don`t believe in God(s), they believe in something else.... but the strenght of faith is something that is like a generator for human life. Btw I can not "deny" what does not exist. If I deny, it must exist. :-) Nice Sunday to you all ^^

  • @Freedaaa Those invisible pink unicorns are pests aren't they. Now don't deny they exist! Because if you deny that invisible pink unicorns (or Zeus, or pixies, or whatever) exist then they therefore MUST exist (according to your faulty logic).

  • He's atheist? That would explain why he put the "F" word in there a lot... especially Revelations..

  • @Viz731 Mhm. Sad, too, such a friendly book with such friendly, cozy stories and he had to ruin it with cursing:(. Revelations, especially, is the most loving tale I have ever read.

Can't people just let the Bible be a tale of genocide, rape, mass murder, envy, hate, calamities, war and revenge without having to ruin it by adding bad words?

  • I love the Brick Testament....and I love Jesus.

I find his interpretations of the Bible refreshing, and they definitely cut against the religiously humanistic man-centered "Christianity" that many Americans bestow.

Sin and the judgement of God are real things, that are far more serious and wide-reaching than most want to acknowledge.

Look up what the Brick Testament says the beast says in the Book of Revelation...especially on the Brick Testament!

  • @olabashanda I do think it is funny an atheist spent all his time creating it..

  • imagine making this for someone and they say, 'oh, sorry, but i'm not a christian'. LOL!

  • Lego Brick Testiment is good!

  • I'm a christian for over 20 years and I have been following BT & Mr. Powell since 2004. He has to read the bible to mock it. God is not mocked, I will see God's word acomplish His desire. Isaiah 55:10,11

  • This seems to slip strait past most Christians. I don't know, maybe its because although most Christians like to know the bible exists, they don't actually like reading it too much. And the same goes for the Brick Testament. Or maybe it really is true that religion and a knowledge of irony cannot coexist in the same person.

  • That is an irritatingly untrue generalization, my friend. whether you are a Xtian or not, you sure have a pessimistic view of Xtians. Yes, we are sinners (therein, hypocrites), but so is everyone - we're not proud, but that doesn't mean we don't read the Bible. Even if that is not the source of your conclusion, your generalization is simply ludicrous - perhaps many do not read the Bible often, but I know many Xtians (including myself) who not only read the Bible, but study it in depth.

  • irony--like coppery right?

  • I constantly refer my religious friends to the Brick Testament to help them understand why it's so easy to dismiss the Abrahamic religions as complete nonsense.

The fact that the Vatican is acknowledging it is pure comedy.

  • Worst. Metaphor. Ever.

  • Holy Irony, Batman!

  • Thats amazing. The Vatican dosnt actually realise that the Brick Testement is an atheists work? With its wonderful paraphrasing of biblical stories alongside scripture, it really shows the buy bull as the horrbible nasty work of fiction that it is.

And now the Vatican acknowlages it?!! This is pure comedy.

  • Wow - were they really giving him an attaboy? LOL My favorite thing about B.Testament has always been its cool sarcasm. Mind-boggling how it slips past some people.

  • The Rev is great... 'Seeing' the horrid stories of the bible is the best cure for faith

  • yea its true why would a believer make this

  • OK...you do realize the guy is an atheist, don't you?

  • He's not an atheist. He's interested in religion, but has heterodox (but not blasphemous) opinions about God and Christianity.

  • A interview found on the website: "Reverend Smith, why are you so obsessed with the Bible?"

    He answers:

"Since becoming an atheist at the age of 13, I have always been fascinated by the way that so many people consider the Bible to be the holy word of God when so many of the stories seemed to me to be quite brutal and horrifying. Or at least very bizarre."

  • He isn't trying to deconvert, if that's what you mean.

    Same interview:

"Does your site have a deeper intention behind it?"

"My homepage is intended to entertain people. If theres a deeper meaning, well, perhaps its that in this way people can get to know Bible stories, or learn to view well-known stories in a new light. However, it is not my intention to make anybody change their attitude towards the Bible or religion."

  • Then you havnt read it then. Its not possible to read the BT and say that.

  • I have read it. Smith approaches the BT as Bergman or Carl Theodor Dreyer approached religion: not as an ontological phenomenon but as something approaching literary discourse that influences ethical behavior and social relationships.

  • @MegF142857

    never

  • cool bible movie i go to church god rocks

  • Excellent Thechase. Read the brick testament as soon as you can. It really shows Gods wonderous works. LOL

  • Awesome!
