  • i love this guy ;)

  • @ciaramarie2 I do try, where ever possible, to make people love me. It's no always possible but when it happens it's much appreciated, thank you

  • i m not crashing!! well thats good! lol

  • Electric doors! Not even an option on the US Mazda5. We brought the top of the line Grand Touring version, and would pay extra for Electric doors.

  • i liked the 2010 look better....horizontal taillights just make it look like a conventional minivan

  • Mazda really should have added the power door option for the U.S. model. This is one of the deal breaker option that could sell more 5's here in the states.. just my two cents. Other than that, I love my Mazda5 in GT trim. One of the more practical car that's also fun to drive as well.

  • @kc2zxl I agree. If you buy a GT, like you and I both did, electric doors should be standard, plus a button on the fob to open the hatch. I'd also like Mazda to change the software so that the 5 either gets the same hp/torque as the Mazda 3--or more like the Ford Fusion(it is the same engine, after all).

  • What camera do you you use for filming?

  • @benny5825 Almost all Canon SLR but there's some Kodak stuff for exterior shots.

  • I got mine this Wednesday, 1.6L 115HP Diesel, and i dare say, that car shifts and it sure doesn't take ages to overtake!! Gave it a proper try this morning on a 2 lane country road and on the motorway after seeing this vid. I had a Renault Laguna break 2L petrol before this one, and i dare say, my Mazda5 1.6Ldiesel is easily as fast in overtaking. And It's one of those cars you get in to, start driving, and you just feel the urge to keep going, and going, and going, and........ LOVE IT!!!

  • The US 5 doesn't get as many nice things but it does get a 157bhp 2.5L petrol engine so overtaking is less of a problem.

  • Okay...now I really wish the US version had electric doors! Otherwise, how'd he get my 5 over there?

  • @bigvirgotube Thanks for watching, we like the 5 too. Are electric doors not standard where you are?

  • @Smokerspack Nope, here in the US, to keep prices down, there's a lot of content y'all get in the old country that we don't over there, but that's because MPV's in this style and size are as ubiquitous there as the Odysseys/Siennas/Town & Country's are over here. We also don't get the 'middle seat' such as it is, but I have a Rondo, and I know that middle is pretty..well..middlin.

  • Oh dear @8:34 you say Mazda 6..!! But great Review as always, Cracking Car.

  • @paulmgn0037 Whoops I didn't notice that! Just as well it was another Mazda I said and not a competitors car lol

  • Certainly ticks all the right boxes in the driving and practicality stakes but my god, the Mazda5 really was beaten with the ugly stick. As I don’t have a big family, I recently bought the Mazda6 2.2 Sport SE (Partially based on your review of it) and I can tell you is, I’ve absolutely no regrets as it’s a bloody smashin car!

  • @donnchadh71 Good to know you've picked a car from one we like. The Mazda 6 is a great car and one I'd buy in the same spec you got. The Mazda 5 isn't to everyone's taste in the looks department but it makes up for it by being great at everything else
