my very first video game addiction - FAIRLIGHT! was helplessly in love with it, in those heydays of crude comps and simple video games. loved this tune too!!
@mustibabukk I never personally got into this game, it's just something about me and isometric games, we don't blend well together but I do get why this is so popular and I absolutely love this tune, this is absolute class.
This tune is also in the C64 game Wizardry, which is also by The Edge (the C64 Fairlight had the 128K Speccy music). I wouldn't dare say either is the 'original' game to have this music though, they were developed at the same time. Probably The Edge only bought a handful of tunes and crammed them into wherever they fit!
@manozobe No mate it's just an opinion and its obvious to me you grew up with the 128K version of this game so you've every right to like it. But I always loved this tune, one of my favourite 48K tunes ever.
@Otouto72 - I got this as part of a top 100 pack, I never played it when I was little :`( . The worst part is I would probably find the game more difficult now than when I was 7 years old lol
@xJORDAN99x Yep I totally agree! I never got into this game, adventure games hardly ever appeal to me as a whole, but I always went back to this game simply for this tune! I love it!
@bzyk1975 You may hate me for this, but there was something about isometric adventures that I could never get into them, including this one which is a real shame because this tune is absolutely awesome! One of my favourite spectrum tunes ever and this destroys the 128K version!
@Otouto72 A rare occasion - the one improvement the 128K version had over the original 48K version was that it was larger and had more screens/puzzles.
@SPeacock I know normally the 48K is so hard to listen to and the 128K tune kicks ass - not with Fairlight! The 48K version is superb, really well composed while the 128K version is awful! I was horrifed upon hearing it for the first time!
Yeah I was very fortunate to own the 48K version, didn't like the game too much, simply wasn't my type of game but I always liked the music. You can then imagine my horror upon discovering the 128K version!

OCR00855: Wizardry Medieval Magic OC ReMix
Thanks. I knew I had heard this song before, but couldn't find it in my music collection. It was right there under Wizardry, though.

@Otouto72 You're right. Not bad for a 48K.

@DemiLoc Its MILES better than the 128K version which sounds like a child was playing it and making it up as he went along!

@Otouto72 Haha, you're right.

I prefer this over the 128K version, I discovered this first (it came with my emulator) and instantly fell in love with the music.
