this was the first movie i ever watched in theater as a kid, and I watched it alone! I was so inspired afterwards :) it will always have a special place in my heart. disney movies were better back then...
@GmanKings i personally think a 4th movie would be taking it too far like with a lot of movies if they go past two or three the magic i just not there anymore :/ i think the third wrapped it up nicley :)
Beautiful I love this song. They should make another lion king like when scar and mufasa were kids and why mufasa was chosen as king and not scar and how scar got the scar on his face lol
The original Lion King and Lion King 2 both are amazing movies and both have amazing music ( I personally like the music from the Lion King 2 more but obviously nothing can beat the music from the original movie)
i'm still a little kid at heart. i still watch the old Disney movies, find old nick shows from the early and mid 90s, and listen to all rock music from the 60s through to the 90s, nothing past 2006. accept if i really really like an artist that puts out an album after that year. then i can make an exception. and there is only one artist that i can make that exception for. i'm not your average 19 year old at all, and i will NEVER be! 90s kid for LIFE! end of story!
this makes me want to shout hallelujah~...gotta love this track...i <3 the lion king...it will always be the best film of disney's renaissance period~
This song is REALLY good.I've never liked the Lion King 2 b/c 2 me it's always seemed like a silly revenge story with a mushy romance story unlike the subetly in Simba & Nala's relationship which culminates in the "Can you feel the love tonight" song scene in Lion King 1.This song though I've got 2 say is like on par and maybe even rivals the "Circle of life" opening song and scene (I've saw the pt. in Lion King 2) from the Lion King 1.It was one of the few Lion King 2 scenes I actually liked.
I like very much Lion King and the music written by Elton John. I watched many times this cartoon with my daughter, in 1994, and I bought two cds, one in English and one in Italian, my language. But the one I prefer is in English.
@marydonata Adoro entrambe le versioni, ma se dovessi deciderne una penso che sceglierei quella italiana. Nel cantato avverto un maggior coinvolgimento. =)
I like both versions, but if I should pick one of them, I'd choose the Italian one. I feel a greater involvement in the singing session. ^_^
My 4-year-old sister watches Lion King almost every single day. 5 times in a row sometimes. And she won't watch Lion King 1, it has to be "Simba's Pride", which is how she refers to it. She says "no! it's not Lion King! it's Simba's Pride!" lol
Why does religion have to be brought into every video on YouTube? It's a movie about LIONS and this happens to be the soundtrack. Just enjoy it for what it is.
To be honest I dont think it's about God or any religion. It is simply saying to remember those who have passed, as they have made you who you are today. They live on in you. And they are only gone when you forget them. I dont think religion has anything to do with it tbh.
@purrykitty7- Typically tigers don't live in the same location as lions. Kinda like how alligators and crocodiles don't live in the same area. But then again...lions don't typically talk either. lol Why would there be tigers?
@purrykitty7- OH I see. =) That's what you meant. Lol I was so confused when I read your comment! Yeah, I'm not sure why the song says that either. But it's a great song! Probably my favorite from both Lion King movies.
@equestrian247 its not just about God, its about Christianity. just look at the lines "into the water" umm... Baptism? "into the truth" one true God etc. "in your reflection, He lives in you" we are created in God's image and what not. this one is not very subtle about it though haha.
I have not seen the Lion King since I was a kid, years ago. And then I stumbled onto this song and fell in love with this movie again. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
I'm so pity of those poor souls that didn't make it, and were born in XXI century. They won't see those beautifull movies, with great plot, great songs and great characters.. Poor kids..

@VeronicaHasFun Have you accepted Mufasa as your lord and savior? Oh wait that's Optimus PRime- oh wait that's CIncinatti- I mean- ...where was I giong with this?
I think that Disney purposely created this song to speak to both sides of the faith. I, as a firm believer of god, can obviously see that they could be talking about him. "He lives in you" is saying to me that god lives in everybody. But, on the other hand, I can obviously see that this song also reflects on the movie with Mufasa's death. We shouldn't be arguing about science and religion, because Religion is a vital part of science, and Science is a vital part of religion.
In regards to the discussion going on here, I don't see what's so bad about people mentioning being reminded of God when they hear this song or how that "destroys the song". Every piece of music means differently to others and last time I checked it ain't gonna kill anyone. This is hardly worth a friggin' debate! XD Let's just enjoy the music and get on with it. We all came from Africa, after all.
shut up and enjoy the music D:< i dont think saying it could be a Christian song would ruin this song. NOTHING someone says could ruin this amazing song. To Christians it would be a good song, thats all thats being said. Theyre not saying you have to interpret into that too.
I also don't have a religion but I'm not athirst either, technically I'm Christian Science, but I don't practice it or whatever, but I still believe in Darwin's theory.
God did not create us, it was Darwin and his idea from us evolving from apes, y do u think we are so alike, shut the hell up it is not about god, this song wasn't meant to relate to us humans, look it up yourself and shut the fuck up about it, I don't want to see another post about this, y can't we all just agree on it because I'm pretty sure everyone else wants everyone to shut up about it. Thank You and have a terrible day...
@buddhabobo123 Personally I don't like it... its more of comedy and it flashes back to moments in the first one, showing them in a different light, which ruined classic moments a bit for me... Thats just my opinion though, some people like it :)
