A diferencia de otras bailarinas esta se gana mi respeto, porque las otras siendo gorditas, les resulta mas facl mover, el abdomen, en cambio para una bailarina delgada como ansuya , es dificultoso. saludos.

While I certainly am impressed by her endurance-- playing zills for that long of time nonstop is certainly hard on the forearms!-- I am not captivated by this performance. The incessant zill playing is annoying, jarring even. Zills are meant to accent and compliment the music. This is gratuitous.

el estilo de ansuya me parece unico y elegante para mi es una de las mejores claro que no es vulgar ella puede expresarse como quiera el baile es una especie de expresion ademas con los crotalos baila muy al ritmo...obvio tambien sin ellos... BRAVO ANSUYA!!

I was expecting more rhythmical variety. See Morocco and notice the rhythm of her zill playing, if my explanation doesn't help you understand. She's here on youtube somewhere, dancing at the Lafayette. Tariq Sultan is also awesome with zills

I hate to say this, and I know I'm going to be flamed by all the Ansuya fans, but this reminds me too much of the Vegas Dancers. I mean, she has good command of her body, but I'd choose Rachel Brice's Tribal to this.

Actually, TribalRider2007 is right...this is influenced by Vegas. If you want original, you need to look at folkloric bellydance. This is Americanized.

Isn't the cabaret style of bellydance (the kind Ansuya does in this vid) influenced by vegas? I know that that's how the bellydance clothing got americanized with the glamorous beading and all. That woould make a lot of sense :P I love tribal too :D and cabaret <3
