  • I have never been explained calculus in a clearer way. Excellent, absolutely excellent. As a math major with education minor, it is a priceless opportunity to watch these extremely skilled teachers. This is how teachers should be. This is how I'll strive to be. Thank you.

  • Excellent education for free. Thank you.

  • I thought high school must already have known all the calculus before going to University. I learn all of them in my senior year of high school.

  • HAHA, every single video has different white balance and contrast. I've never seen the same room so many different ways.

  • hes making it more complicated that it needs to be but whatever,

  • He's actually mixing two separate terms: "Riemann integral" and "definite integral", which are NOT the same thing! A function may have an antiderivative in 2 points but Riemann integral may not exist in the area between these points and the "Fundamental theorem of calculus" is a theorem that joins these two integrals. I'm suprised how they tell about maths, very informal. I had these basics of calculus at High School (15-19 years old pupils) in Poland and there a language was a bit more formal.

  • so, how old r the ppl he's talking to??

  • cool lecture.

i like the pyramid trick. it's a kind of intuitive Riemann integral.

  • at 2:12 i started laughing, because I remembered a line from "the big bang theory", from the first episode

  • That's a really cute horse he drew at 2:51

  • This professor is so good.

Doubt this will be read, but thanks so much for these, MIT. It's an awesome, awesome program.

  • I just skipped my calculus class today to watch this video instead. I must say it was worth it.

  • Thanks from the bottom of my heart BTW for tese videos.

  • Did anyone else find the premise of the financial question at the end confusing? It seems like he didn't define the function or defined it as something weird like you borrow 1 dollar on day 1 2 on day two, etc... but never really said that.

  • I think his most exceptional ability is to understand the questions that people ask him. I don't think I have seen him misunderstand one question. I have seen a lot of good lecturers, but not all of them are good at understanding the questions they are asked. Logically, he would be an even better lecture if he encouraged even more questions. I also like that he does not try and put on a show but gets to the point. A weak point. i wish he would motivate his topics upfront with concrete examples

  • Happy the videos are coming again. I want to go to MIT for graduate school

  • YAY FOR MORE CALC VIDEOS!

I waited for so long lol :D

  • The continuation of rhe single variable calculus..........I´m so happy :D :D !!!!!
