  • This is a sponsor I.D. [Dick Tufeld, announcer], for one of the show's various prime-time sponsors, Dow Chemical Company (makers of Saran Wrap). Even though "THE JETSONS" had plenty of advertising support, most viewers usually watched "WALT DISNEY'S WONDERFUL WORLD OF COLOR" {NBC} or "DENNIS THE MENACE" {CBS} on Sundays at 7:30pm(et); that's why the series ended after only 24 episodes, and were endlessly repeated on Saturday mornings and in syndication before new episodes were produced in 1985.

  • Groovy, I never heard about this!

  • In the original ABC network run, "The Jetsons" was co-sponsored by Colgate Dental Cream and Scotch Magic (Mending) Tape (I remember that one since Astro sticks his head through George's paper and he uses the Scotch Tape to mend it!) And the Jetsons appeared in a series of Electrasol commercials in 1999-2000 ("dishwashing for the 21st century!") before Electrasol morphed into Finish dishwasher detergent...

  • @bongomanfromdalou I've also seen a JETSONS "brought to you by....Marx Toys" intro.
