I mean you can have one for a fugitive escaping,or an armed offender, others are for border incidents with customs or border people doing the checks with the authority to do road stops. What if these checkpoints are the beginning of the end ? It's very possible.

It's a proven statistical trend that the more police activity there is the lower the civilian moral gets and the more crime is fabricated. The more crime is fabricated the more real crime is directed at the police and at the local population.

Then cops react to this by doing what? Heightening police prescience.

Wrong again. NAFTA isn't the problem, the laws against drugs are. There is too much money to be made in the illegal drug market. A Mexican Cartel Boss made the Forbes Magazine Billionaire list. Legalize some of these drugs and regulate them like alcohol and tobacco. We are no where near a Nazi America. Kick back and enjoy your freedom. Go camping, fishing, hiking, just get some fresh air. Also just a quick comment. That comment he made about drugs...DEAD ON. Opium production in the middle east has doubled over and over again since the US started operations there. You really think that Opium is just sitting around. If you burn that opium in the middle east I can promise you less of it would be in the US or at the very least the price would skyrocket.

What a waste of time. If you really want to do something for your country, help the homeless, the hungry and the people that are unemployed. This check points help catch drunk drivers and get drugs off the streets that your kids might use. Do something really positive. I saw both videos and you really don't make sense on what you are doing.

While I agree with you that's not what's for. I personally have driven through checkpoints drunk as a dog and I've NEVER been questioned at a check point. About 75% of my friends can say the same and the cops know it.

For now these checkpoints are about putting it into the scenery so we get used to it. Then it'll be about control like you've never seen before.

The purpose of these stops are to accustom the people to seeing them so that it won't seem like a big deal to them. Think about what you're going to do one day when you see hundreds of so-called National Guard troops in the streets stopping everyone and detaining hundreds of AMericans, then loading them into buses to be taken to "temporary custodial camps" that are already built. Notice in your communities how the National Guard has increased the number of vehicles and activities for some reason
