Were any of those crash sounds from the start of Bioshock? I swear I've heard those exact same sounds at the start of Bioshock. But I could be completely wrong.
@gnomie321 No sir, the plane crash sound is actually a combination of two sound effects I slapped together in Audacity. One is from the entire plane crash scene in LEFT 4 DEAD (Dead air runway scene), the other is from Mass Effect, where Commander Shepherd is on Therum and runs into a Geth ship dropping Armatures.
I love the end. Turn around and looks. Cockpit its the boat hes on, like "whats that...OH SHIT!!" I saw that in full screen and nearly shit my pants first time. Nice vid man, absolutely.
@vwbeetleowner It's Crysis, it's a PC game only (you may have seen or heard of Crysis 2, this is the 1st one). However, this isn't in the game, it was made by me in the game's SDK program the game comes with, CryENGINE 2, which is the program the game itself was made with.
@AntiHamster500 Just saw the trailer. Apparently it's being "enhanced." Pff, more like "adapted." Since 2007, no affordable PC could run Crysis maxed out. Crytek ported a console version of Crysis 2 to PC, leaving us with console-quality graphics—we chewed Crytek's ass off. This will be the same situation in reverse. CryENGINE 2 will need to be largely rewritten so consoles with outdated graphics APIs can even stand a chance. Or maybe they'll default the graphics settings at "high" to save time.
@bigredjew Yeah I know what you mean, but Crysis 2 being a console port wasn't Crytek's fault. EA basically told them to focus on keeping them even to save time. Which is why Crytek released the "Dx11 Upgrade+Hi Res Texture Pack" in their own time, without the help of EA. Game publishers like EA only care about DLCs before Patches in order to milk developers for all their money, and not take the blame for it.
