its kind of confusing being an androgyne because of my body. i was alright with my body years ago before i hit puberty but now i dont know... its weird..... like part of me is fine with it and part isnt..... like im partly in the wrong gendered body

sometimes i wish i wasnt androgyne but then i think that if i wasnt i would think differently and i would be a completely different person. so i guess i like being androgyne. i read on wikipedia that anrogynes are more mentally healthy that other ppl

im mean i knew i was different. for most of my life i thought i was in the wrong gendered body because i didnt like being a girl but then i decided that i was both. i think i was looking at quizzes on the internet about transexuals because i knew i wasnt a girl and i came across something about androgynes so i looked it up on wikipedia and now i know im definately and androgyne

I am Androgyne, but I don't wear woman clothes. My Androgyny is neutral, neutral clothed and neutral appearance being both male/female in gender expression, not in each or both sex appearance. It could be you lean towards the feminine side, but that is trans-gender or if you physically change yourself, a trans-sex. But that's my opinion about Androgyny, I am not you. Feel free to motivate :)

I agree with you, but would expand on it a bit.

I think that sometimes being androgyne involves disquiet that can only be relieved by transgressing gender norms.

For me, I need to express how I view myself or I get aching dysphoria. This leads to open and blatant androgyny in me (if that makes sense).

The personal becomes political when rules are enforced on the way people behave and present themselves.

I believe that is when androgyny can become rebellion as its expression is named "weird"

If weird = unusual, then andro = weird. Most say it to degrade but I like unusual, "weird".

Male and female behaviour is a spectrum. Take 10 guys or girls, and compare and see who's on one end of the spectrum and who's on the other.

Compare extreme male to guy next in the spectrum. He wears bright purple shirt. Is he less a man? He doesn't hug men like the next guy who only wears black.

Point is we each make our own opinions and want it to be either/or, black/white but it's not that simple

I liked that one Star Trek with the androgynous society, and then there were a few who displayed "gendered" characteristics and they were thought to be ill and were submitted to some kind of surgical correction, to fix their brains... only it really just took away parts of the brain, the gendered parts.

Didn't know it had become popular enough to become a way of pissing off parents. The thing that bugs me alot of the time is the confusion beween transvestitism and androgyny. I guess one is on the inside and the other is on the outside.

some people use it as a statement, my comment is that being androgyne is no more of a statement then being male or female.

And the pronunciation, I think it's up to who gets on national telly and says it first. Seems to have no fixed pronunciation.
