It went Dragon Ball, Yu Yu Hakusho then Dragonball Z and who the fuck cares about anything else. Yu Yu Hakusho had much more character development then DBZ ever did anyway. DBZ was "WHERE IS GOKU I DON'T WANNA DIE!" Yu Yu Hakusho actually had characters that could hold there own and rival the main character.

About point #3, I think that's actually a similarity. Yuusuke has his demon heritage because one of his progenetors was the demon king. I'm pretty sure a big reason Ichigo could have powers had to do with the fact that his father is a shinigami.

@insanedalek Well for one I am not talking about the entire show, there are parts of the show that seem like they took it from yu yu hakusho like how both the main characters were living normal live but then someone from a reaml of spirits comes and helps them unlock their potential,in both shows their weapons are made from their spirit energy but in bleach it is mainly swords which is not a bad idea but I do not beleive it was delivered properly, and this is also an opinion not a fact.

Both Yu Yu Hakusho and Bleach are great animes. Bleach is not a rip off of YYH, it simply drew inspiration from it, just as YYH probably drew some inspiration from Dragonball. They are actually different if you look into them.

@wgarrett1889 TeamFourstar did a short for one of the cons that they went to and it was Vegeta and Nappa talking about popular anime shows in the US. When Nappa asked about Bleach Vegeta said he "liked that when it was called Yu Yu Hakusho and I liked THAT when it was called Dragonball Z."

May or may not be where that guy is coming from but it's what popped into my mind.

@mysterykcad I quit watching Bleach after I noticed that the plot was pretty much a clone of YYH, and YYH being my favorite anime, I was really offended. They didn't even try to be original when they made Bleach, seeing as how it's chock full of amazingly stereotypical character types (which in the time period YYH was released the character types of people like Yusuke, Kuwabara were much less stale, and for that matter depicted right) and plots that are so overplayed it hurts. YYH > Bleach x 100

2. Ichigo didn't die, he got his powers because he wanted to save his family!

3. Demon Yusuke is Yusuke, unlike Hollow Ichigo who is only part of Ichigo (or something). He was born when Urahara made him a "real" Shinigami.

4. Don't compare Soul Society and Spirit World is you don't wanna compare YYH to DBZ because they have the same thing :P
