hey ppl i didnt know that if u strech to much or strech the muscles that tyou dont need to for tkd if they become flexible the less you will heva power in kisck so remember dont do anything else than its shown by coach or by this vid
what he dosnt say is, you gotta watch your toes when u do the pipe, couse else ur spine gonna get fucked up,
im doin ashtanga joga been doing it for about a year soon, and well i notice the different , bend ur toes back, and watch the toes and breath thro ur nose :)
Hold the stretches for a minimum of 30 secs, up to a min. Stretch only until you feel a stretch not PAIN or else you will eventually tear something...not a good way of stretching ...
Looks like alot of people arguing on here forget it's not the martial art, it's the skill of the practitioner that makes the difference.
Taekwondo is a full martial art, it just depends on how you practice it, and what style you learn. Original Taekwondo is completely removed from the sports taekwondo most Americans see; joint locks etc.. Come to Korea and see!
i take hapkido we do a lot of joint locks, but if you go to a tournament those are against the rules. so yay i kno wat ur talking about, are u from korea or something?
I'm Eurasian, but I live in South Korea. Hapkido is brilliant. I love the low kicks. Have you seen the hapki demo video on here? It's great, a mixture of everything, even grappling and groud fighting, which is not associated with Korean martial arts by a lot of people.
yah i hear u. i kno wat u mean. do u take hapkido. tho i live in america so we dont get to do sweep kicks in tournaments but we still practice them. i love it. in comparison tae kwon do sucks balls (modern style, original style is a lot better)
I have taken hapkido, but now concentrate on taekwondo, mainly because i know more people that practice it. Also, I don't plan to get into fights, so hapkido, although being a more useful martial art for the streets, is far less useful than having fast legs to run away on :)
blah, they never really taught me anything i didn't know in tae kwon do. but i practice my kicks for an hour a day so thats not really the problem. and lol to the fast leg thing.
Totally man I studied Traditional TaeKwonDo from a 6th Dan. I have a first degree Black and I can tell you that I know more then just kicking and punching. We did joint locks, self defense escapes, grappling was offered I just wasn't in that particular program.
I enjoyed your video, If you need help getting your video exposed i use a service at Tubeviews . Net They offer views, ratings, and comments. They helped my video get ranked on the first page
man you can say what ever you want , call me when you find a Mix Martial artest or a K-1 martial artist who uses TKD and he is a good fhiter ... the best in the world Anderson Silva (mauy thai & BJJ ) , Feodor Emelianenko ( Kickboxing & Judo & sombo ) , Mirko Cro COp (kickboxing ) .....
maybe because those guys are monsters? get hit on the head daily and loose braincells, I'd rather keep my mind sharp and wise. + kick/thaiboxing is so clumsy, an average TKD practician would do much better escaping a fight (which is vital) if he had to, unlike you who only train explosive and get big clumsy muscles so you can protect yourselves with your gigantic forearms. +your stances and distance just says "stab me with a knife".
Oh and did I mention taekwondo is overall a very good and not so harmless martial art if practised correctly? a whole nation (S.korea) uses it from school to military and man 50 million people + an advanced and experienced army can't be wrong. And did you know tkd is one of the largest MA in China even? What you are seeing today is that many schools in the western world tend to slow down the training and the trainers are too kind-hearted to say stuff like "you suck too much to get graded"
lots of kickboxers use TKD .......Kickboxing is not a Martial art on its own but many different styes combine with boxing. And very few Kickboxers are good fighter or Martial Artist .
it is nothing like tkd cuz there r not much combination kicks like u c in the competition. jeet kune do just want to finish off the opponent asap so it discourages the fancy techniques. karate, im not exactly sure but i guess not because he didnt add it to the jkd.

traditional martial arts! Not the right way to stretch. I'm so upset that people teach this old school method that hurts your body. This doesn't make you more flexible!!! yeah, sit in a stretch for 30 minutes!!! Bull shi*e
dynamic movements require dynamic stretching. Leg swings are very effective. It is important to reset the gogi organs with these stretches several times a day. It will help to stop your body from tightening back up.
how tall are you?

Jeet kune do, the way of the intercepting fist. It is simple, direct, fast punching and kicking. No aerobatic techniques like taekwondo!

in order to do the kick you gotta be able to work those muscles. Why dont you get a black belt before you open your mouth.
smurphman125 3 years ago
having a black belt in any style does not mean you can or cannot open your mouth, and any way that guy is an idiot so dont let him get to you.
