YAY!! A ponytail! BABY!!

sounds so weird to be excited over something like a ponytail but I understand you. I cut all mine off this January and it's now got a little length. I keep trying but my ponytail looks like a cottontail on a playboy bunny. My hair is so friggin thick, I damn near feel like I have arthritis trying to wrangle it down and it still puffs out. Hopefully I'll find a product that lengthens my curls before going broke.

i think your hair is like 3b or 3c type hair. wouldnt it take longer for people with type 4a and 4b hair to grow their hair after a bigchop? im just wondering. im 15 and i dont know much.

It all depends on how fast that individual's hair grows.

hair grows at the same rate generally speaking, it's just a type 4 will have more shrinkage due to the tighter curl, making it appear shorter.. you should look at some family going natural vids, there is one where they go through every1s hair and stretch it and manipulate it

not necessarily.. most hair grows at about the same rate, whether it be straight, curly or kinky.. the only reason it may same shorter on kinky hair is becuz of shrinkage.. usually when someone with 4 type hair stretches their hair, it gets just about as long and sometimes longer than someone who stretches their 3 type hair :]

Great idea, if you have any leftover battery-operated Christmas lights...you could wrap it around for the countdown! Natural is definitely a better look for you then the straightened, relaxed hair. Also, I love your hair without product!!! Throw a little shea butter for moisture and go!!

But I know you prefer it with product so it's not so fluffy, lol.

I've tried shea butter and its a HUGE NO NO for my hair! It was a disaster! Anything that is butter like does nothing for my hair. So I just stick to my Long Aid Gel!!
