  • HOSEEEEE ME !!!

  • my boy mirabelli behind the dish

  • Go Shockers!

  • I absolutely love all of the retarded Creighton idiots saying it was a bad call. It wasn't even close. He was out by a mile.

You're just mad because Wichita State went 8-0 against your program's best ever team that year.

  • This was one of the greatest baseball games ever. I was there and it was so intense for the entire game. That throw from Audley was the highlight. Creighton had a great team that year and so did Wichita St. Two conference rivals meeting in the College World Series in Creighton's home town.

  • @Hurricaneboy318 - What are you talking about, bad call? The espn announcer even said he was out BEFORE the umpire made the call. The espn color guy said "great throw". Neither one even questioned the call.

  • good call if he's safe :D

  • i guess they didnt realize Audley had a freakin rocket launcher

  • haha as a sox fan, i love how mirabelli was so non-chalant about this play. he just stands there like theres no play at the plate and at the last second he receives the throw and puts the tag on. pure class.

  • That's not what class is...

  • The Throw never gets old. Thanks for posting this. GO SHOX!!!

  • Wow, Doug Mirabelli.

  • Rosenblatt looks so different from the way it

did back in 1991. Wow, Doug Mirabelli!!

  • This clip brings bake great memories. I vaguely remember a play in a CWS where a WSU second basemen tagged a base runner taking a lead by hiding the ball in his glove. Do you have that clip by any chance?

  • Are you by chance referring to the one where WE got nailed by the fake errant throw from the pitcher to the 1st baseman? That happened to us (thanks to Miami) in our first CWS appearance in 1982. Grrrrrrrrrr...

Oh, and I do not have that clip from 1982.

  • I was 7 years old in 82 so I don't remember when it happened against us. This is a fuzzy memory regarding exactly when this happened or who our second basemen was at the time, but I do remember that we executed the play. It could have been in any of our CWS appearances from 88-92 or around that time. Our pitcher pretended to conceal the ball in his glove but our second basemen had it. There was a brief conference between Stevenson and the umpires then they declared them out.

  • Second best CWS game behind the 1989 Championship win over Texas! Thank you for the video and the walk down memory lane.

  • Holy crap, great video, I'll never forget this. Nice tag by the stud who hits bombs.

  • Good times
