I've got the Rom toy and all 3 extras. Sadly the left button broke sometime after I'd gotten it, but I still do have. The only problem I had, was in one of the comics explaining his extras, they reversed his Energy Analyzer (one handed device), with his Translator (two handed devise)-and yes I have All the issues of the Rom comic. Plus some of team up comics Marvel put out.

They used red LED lights for the eyes because green ones were too expensive!

1) I think they reissued my pet monster in the last decade or late 90s he might want that

2)your an online store that has a brick and morter base and not like walmart or target making you an indie toy store which are cool

3) my major good find was a galaxy fighter sword with a figure $2 I wish someone would bring back the he man knock offs as they were awesome and complimented the line

4) ash and simon belmont in the old masters line (which are possible customs especially with the knockoffs)

@fatfoxclown You're right there was a re-issue of My Pet Monster, sometime after 2001, I remember a friend of mine buying it thinking he was getting an exact recreation of the original only to find that a lot had apparently changed in child safety laws since the 80's. As a result the nose and teeth were different.

dose anyone know if that new toy smell has done a captian planet episode? they were cool figures and loved them as a kid.and i have looked all over the web.but cant find a pic of the hope island playset.i remember seeing it in a small pamplete that came with a vhs movie,but never saw it in stores...love this web show ! i all ways have loved toys and allways will. playsets rule.bring the big ones back!!!

Rom was very expensive in 79.....that's the main reason it was cancelled.

This came from an era where Star Wars just came out and Hollywood was cashing in with Star trek TMP,Buck Rogers,Alien etc..

The toy companies were trying to captialize on the space toys.I wasn't a fan of this it came out when I was 13 and the 3 3/4" figures caught my eye.Hell before then the 70's only had the foot tall figures except for Mego 8 inch figures

The Kre-o´s are not that bad, the big Optimus Prime is cool in both forms, but people that have it say that it´s so hard to put one mode together, that disassemble it to form the other is just not worth it. Also, yeah, the mini figures are awesome, but paying the price of a big set just to get them is not worth it neither.

ROM is a classic, one of my holy grails. The electronics hold up really well, I prefer them to the modern style.
