How can CPS expect a school to expand it's enrollment under this policy. Pegging the number of teachers to a school's total enrollment makes no sense. Growth is likely to occur in the lower grades, but these parents won't stay if their children are in overcrowded classes. The number of teachers at a grade level should be determined by the number of students in that grade, regardless of how many students are in the school. Any other formula is designed to fail.
How can parents supplement these teachers ? One or two days a month as an assistant teacher ? What can we do ?
