Anyway, what people don't realize is "Macedonia" as a name originates from the Greeks' name for people north of them, or people in the mountains north of them. This applies to both Greek Macedonia and Macedonia the country. When ancient Greeks spoke of "Macedonia" it was taken as all the mountainous north in and above Greece.
That being said, it does piss me off that Macedonia can't be called Macedonia because the Greeks will be butthurt over it.
