So true PN2543...this film typifies where a lot of married couples are these days after 10, 15, 20 years of marriage. Wife is so stuck on herself, doesn't give a shit about the husband anymore, thinks sex once a month (or longer!) is just fine, husbands career has derailed (through no fault of his own) and complains constantly, is bitchy and hormonal. SOOOOOO nice to see a film like this from the man's point of view. Ladies????

finally, a romantic comedy from the guy's point of view! watching this film together would be a good test for any prospective couples thinking about getting married, if the couple can watch the whole thing together and not end up disgusted with each other's reactions to the film by the end, then i would bet they would have a very good chance of staying together. Annette Benning is great, check her out in the prophetic 9-11 film 'The Siege' for another great role.
