FUCK pulling at a specific altitude. I saw that bastard from a long distance. I would have pulled as soon as I saw him, from nearly a fucking mile away. In reality, it was the schedule/router's fault. The planes probably do flyovers every day in that same spot. I know that they do where I live. I live close to an airfield, and we get hundreds of planes a day flying over. Be it C-130s or just T34 Mentors.
@appolo1234567890 ok buddy thats a little different dont you think?... maybe if you were born with a brain youd see whats so dumb about your comment...
Pretty common... most DZ's are situated along roads and a lot of pilots operate in IFR conditions...
I FOLLOW the ROAD
Happened to me a few times... seeing the passengers plastered against the windows in shock as the pilot makes evasive manoeuvers is pretty funny after the initial scare subsides.
It is a privately owned De Havilland Chipmunk. It is flown in Royal Air Force military markings. Lots of them in civilian private hand painted in the old military training markings. Consequently despite investigation neither the aircraft or pilot was traced, or linked to the incident.
This shows just how fast they are falling... It's hard to tell when all you see is the ground, but a distant object becomes really close, really fast...
that's the thing about skydiving. Not all pilots monitor the CTAF or control center, especially the newer pilots who are shy to request radar service. And notice most of the skydiving areas in the US are uncontrolled, any pilot can just pass right through without speaking a thing on the radio.
WOOAAHH!!! haha... how close was that?!?! From seeing that plane as a speck to passing was only a few seconds... you really don't have much time to react falling at that speed, do you!? Amazing!!
I had that happen to me in the 80's. Was in a 4 way and looked down to see a Piper 140 below us and missed by about the same amount... Ah, sharing the sky... teee heee
cause the plane was at that specific altitude and the skydiver was at that specific altitude an the time that each of them left. i don't think that was just a coicidence
he put his left leg out. then his left leg in. then he right leg out. ...then his right leg in. i think he most likely shook them all about and then hokie pokied his way over to the plane.

What!? IFR = Instrument Flight Rules, in other words, you can't see the f'n road so you have to use your instruments. You're an idiot.

I bet you also listen to the radio as well, and comply if someone tells you you're in airspace that you shouldn't be in. This guy DIDN'T.

guess that pilot never checked his NOTAMS! lol
shapipple12 3 years ago
Well reading the NOTAMS does not guarantee the ability to pick out a mere human falling at terminal velocity through the immense sky.
