I am mesmerized by Dr. Sumner and his eccentricities. I can only hope that my love for the sciences will flourish as long as his did.

I always hated filling in worksheets. Ever since grade school, I thought that science was much more exciting when we did physical experiments. That's why I'm majoring in physics. And it's also why I'm currently involved in several undergraduate research projects right now.

Don't feel sorry for me. My life is enriched by science!

He could benefit by a little more rehearsal or some outside direction.

I don't think he was senile, and clearly the "very chaotic array of experiments" was to show as much as possible in such a short time. I suspect even a rehearsed person would have a difficult time keeping track and explaining of all the different things, while trying to handle the liquid nitrogen and other things safely.

It's funny to see someone get so defensive about my comment about him being senile. But I've watched every one of Dr. Sumner's videos, and I love the guy. My comment came from his seeming decline in his faculties over the years he did this show. It really does sadden me to see how some level of senility set in.

But I won't resort to personal attacks.
