The biggest reason is for "insurance" incase they had problems with 4449. That, and Amtrak sponsored the trip.

Read on the forums there were a LOT of quiet zones further up the line and people were really grumbling about "no whistle"... even the people in the towns that established the zones were complaining, LoL (serves them right)!!!
