At 4:00 he's talking about the PCIe x16 slot...has anyone had any luck actually getting a GPU to work in one of these things? I've got a 6600 laying around I tried to throw in...it did nothing so I threw in a 8800 that was laying around...still nothing...then I hooked up a 800W psu laying around and pulled a 295 out of my gaming rig that I use daily...and it didn't work either...disabling the onboard gpu didn't do jack either
Hey is there anyway to reinstall the NVDIA GeForce 6100? Because i tried updating it( stupid me) and then the next time i turned it on the screen was black, i am now using a different one, but i would prefer the one i had before. help?
ive had it for a year and from day 1 it was already messed up. comp wont boot up while logitech mice/keyboard are plugged in and when installing graphics cards, you get conflict from the integrated one. disabling stuff with the BIOS that comes with this thing is a pain too >_>
well i too have this computer, it is good, not as good as hes saying lol, but i had to replace the motherboard like 2 months ago after about 3 years :( and i have noticed it got a tiny bit slower, but ive been running virus scanns alot and keeping it at an average speed, it works great for me at multi tasking, i can play condition zer, warcraft 3Tft and have a few internet sites open with only a gamer video card, over all not too bad, but it depends on the person mainly.
i own this pc. at the time, i thought it was the best thing ever. then i took a closer look at the components and realized how shitty it is. no wonder i couldn't ever multitask with 3 programs open... the ddr memory they use is pc-4200 (clocked at 266 mhz). it has shitty PSU too. i stayed away from gateway for a long time but i'm ready to buy their P-7811FX laptop now ha
i have this pc, i think i need to either upgrade the ram, or uninstall alot of programs because once i got it, it was awesomely fast, but now its getting slower, so i think im gonna get another 3gb of ram
This guy doesn't have a clue what he is talking about. The Nvidia 61xx IGP's are just that, a regular good for anything but gaming and rendering graphics processing unit. So that throws his powerful statement right out the window. This pc wasn't powerful back in 2006 let alone 2007 when this video debuted on here.
I know exactly what i'm talking about why don't you go to sites like toms hardware and learn something.
Go play any modern graphic demanding games or try to do 3d rendering on that IGP and see what happens. No, i'll tell you what happens major slow downs in fps or entire lockups.
The reason why this guy is getting paid for what he does is because he is a salesmen, that's it. Being a salesmen has nothing to do with computer smarts, case in point the salesmen on HSN that sells pc's.
His lies: the speakers were shit-pies, and so was the media center program
Things he left out: it comes with an integrated nvidea card with 128MB of RAM (which it steals from ur normal RAM)
Things I suggest if you get it: disable the integrated card and replace it with a real one. put a fan on the back. although it supports 4GB the OS doesn't 3.25GB will be ur limit
Man lol, i bought this system about 4 months ago and i just bought a evga 8800 gts 320mb card. The stupid computer isn't big enough to fit the bad boy! plus the motherboard is on the other side! Logan You Lie....ahaha
my specs.. 1 GB RAM, GeForce 7900 GT, 2.4 GHz prossecer. yup its not bad but i like a fast PC.. and theres no PCIE slot.. so i plan on getting a new PC with a 8800 in it. :D

I just bought one of these for $205, except mine has a 320GB HD. For 205 bucks, it's pretty powerful.

I think that's a pretty cool PC. I'd reccommend it to anyone who doesn't want to bother with custom building.
