Just don't let those hords of malingering US veterans continue to rip-off the American tax payer for their 'so called' head injuries suffered in combat. I guess even our 'flexible' Americans have a limit.
Americans are 'flexible'. England's national anthem was again sung at the Chargers-Chiefs game to great cheering. But you must realize, that Jane Fonda wears a necklace made of metal from US fighters shot down in the Vietnam war and her son is named after a North Vietnamese assassin (Troi, tried to kill Robert Macnamara). Tom Hayden was a terrorist here in America for Marxixt communists, yet later served as a California state representative. Americans are, well 'flexible:'
Thanks treksg for posting this. Didn't get the game in my part of the country. I agree it's the first time I have every heard "God Save the Queen" at an NFL game.
I'm American and thought "God Save the Queen" was very touching with that beautiful tenor voice of your Welshman, Paul Potts and the crowd. Waiting for him to sing "Nessum Dorma"
at the World Cup. We get to hear the "Star Spangled Banner" everyday but nice to hear the British Anthem. Just my opinion. Waiting for the Olympics to come to Wimberly Stadium. yah!!
One question, you're american but why did you post "god save the queen" instead of the "star spangle banner", i'm quite suprised at that, i thought the entertainment at the game was brilliant, that's what the americans are so good at, but the match wasn't quite my taste, it livened up in the final quarter but i feel a lot more excited when i watch the football (soccer) or rugby, but it was good.
yeah, i did notice when i watched it that it must have been the first time these players had experienced wet muddy rugby conditions. it did slow the game down. the pitch at wembley is suprisingly awful, it doesn't go with the stadium, it deserves a better pitch
And the reason he posted the "God Save the Queen" was because "The Star Spangled Banner" is at every game, so it was interesting to see the British anthem at an NFL game.
your absolutely right. i'm from america and there is no way a nfl game can match the intensity of a football or rugby game. the football meaning helmet and pads players here think they are hot shit but i think their big babies. although i'm a patriots fan :}

From what I read it wasn't the best game. because of the wetness it slowed down both offenses apparently.
