Beveled and profiled cabinets and cabinet doors/drawers are a lot move work then flush cabinets. If the cabinets have a great deal of detail the re-finishing is hardly justifiable from the cost perspective. However, if you (or your client) have their mind set up on refinishing complex cabinets, consider Dry Ice blasting, or even low intensity sand blasting after you have pre-stripped the clear coat.
I have not used Behr Interior Stripper, but if i see it I’ll try it. Thanks for the tip!
You're lucky to have a flat door. Mine are full of details and profiles and I tried almost all strippers available until I ran into Behr interior stripper. It pulls the stain out of the wood without damaging, bleaching or changing the color of the wood. The only problem is that you can't buy it everywhere and they only sell 1l cans... but I'm still amazed that there is no competition for it (and I tried them all)
