I've played old S2,3 & 4... 3rd is the best for me... i have sentiment for 2... & 4 was a formality... i don't like S7 or new S2 etc. ... this is no "Settlers" for me anymore...

This game features so much wasted potential. It was by far the best Settlers (ever!!), but once you advanced through a level, you would stumble upon all sorts of details that the game designers simply forgot to account for, rendering it a giant problem to create new settlements, and almost impossible to create new settlements on islands. That is why we need a new settlers. And not just some random RTS that shares title with The Settlers - an ACTUAL SEQUEL! Stupid unoriginal new-generation RTS...

i love settlers 4 its a game that actually lets you build a living settlement not like many other stratergy games were you build a camp only to poop out troops to kill your enemy! settlers 4 is still the most fun rts i played!

LOL I finally bothered to check the minimap; its the first Roman mission, it didn't look familiar is all. The person who made this video is so lucky that he doesn't have the infamous "Black Box Glitch". =(

the map is always black until you fulfill your mission, thats why in this video you can se the map

Black box glitch? I don't recall that I've ever encountered that one in S4.

Back then, no, no one did. Thats because it only affects modern Nvidia cards, and alot of people have them, so people trying to run this game nowadays often get a graphical error where a large black box takes up approximatley 20% of the screen. Its REALLY annoying, and they never release the source code for the game, so no one has been able to patch it for us Nvidia users... =(

this looks ok but settlers 3 is betta because the bad graphics in number 3 wich are slightly worser then these give it that little bit more of effect if you have good graphics on games like this it takes away the effect

If you like a simple playstyle and fast 2 go up for millitary attacks I should say settlers 4 gold edition is best , but if you like the economic part allot aswell and want to do much before you can achieve something like millitary units then settlers 5 is
