Wanna hear a funny? At first, I thought instead of saying "you must spring for that blue jar" or whatever it is he says, it sounded like he was saying "you must spring for that boob job"! LOL
Who you calling a "stupid shit", chicken choker? And who you calling "jeff pacarro"? Let's see.. Jeff Porcaro? Being the fireball conversationalist and informed, literate and witty music critic you are, YouTube is clearly screaming out for a man of your talent to correct all the other "stupid shits" on here. Personally though, I think you ought to just stick to choking your chicken, baby!
@thecat029 Don't know why you'rea sking me, but yeah - I think he's terrific. And hats off to him for managing to step honorably into some of the greatest pairs of shoes in recent guitar history. I wouldn't want to have to emulate Larry Carlton (for one) night after night, but Jon does it with great aplomb. I like his playing a lot and I also admire the man - and I have a Gibson 336 myself so he walks on water :-)

I can't get enough Donald Fagen! This album came out the year I was born 1982. If you haven't heard his newest album "Morph the Cat" from 2006 you got pick it up. It's definitely as good as "The Nightfly" or "Kamakiriad". I really like the song "Brite Nightgown".
Awesome! Thanks for sharing, this arrangement sounds VERY much like the original, unlike some other Fagen/Dan songs performed live. The guitar solo sounds great - it is played a little different than the original. Jon Herrington is a great player and plays with Steely Dan all the time, as does the great bassist Freddie Washington. I believe (I could be wrong) that Larry Carlton played on the original track.
little disorganized audio not very smooth and clear probably the equipment that translated the video to this medium but really a great song from the nightfly album of donald. bad audio really
Very cool- love the tune. Not sure how I feel about the arrangement- one thing for sure is the drummer is dragging it down. Who was that? Maybe it's the recording.
GREAT! This tune sounds good anywhere, all the time!!!

This is great! I love how they extended those two chords at the end, makes for great solo practicing.

Great arrangement, once again a perfect sounding version of the original guitar solo, must be Herington on guitar.
