Why does a powerful army insists to fight little groups of Taliban with massive military presence? Because this kind of war is more profitable. We chose to give about 3 billion dollars to Pakistan, who is technically a US ally, and we allowed Pakistan to distribute the funds to the groups they saw fit to receive funding.
