Pirates didn't wear eye patches to cover a bad/missing eye. Check out "Myth Busters" some time and see what eye patches were for. It has to do with night vision and day vision when there was a fight both on deck and below decks on a sailing ship. The sailor always had one eye set for dark vision and one for above deck. Look it up with your good eye.

Not that I work at it as much as I should, but exercising it has certainly changed some things (more so cosmetically but at least its a start) For the first time not too long ago I saw depth, which was odd and fascinating to realize I hadn't before. Crossing the lame one will help it begin to work. I've been doing it for some time now and its making the muscle stronger

I wouldn't mind loosing an eye. I could never loose a limb, it would be way to hard to drum when missing a limb. I know the drummer from Def Leppard did it. But I mean come on, it would suck majorly for me. I get a little squeemish when I get or even come close to getting just a small hand injury.
