I think that there really isn't an easy way to have a show like this have an entire shootout with the police the way T1 did, and still be ok'd for television. We already know what happens when normal people without experience and preparation try to fight terminators; they could have cut away from the door breach to Cromartie pointing a gun at Ellison, and the point would still be made. At least they had a clever, artful scene that appeases censors at the same time.
Good scene. Bit of a shame though -- if the FBI team had known what they were up against, they probably would have been able to take Cromartie down. It's not like Ellison didn't have some proof at this point.
A perfect scene. Its way better to imagine whats happening above the water. Most people need to be spoon fed. Lack of imagination or intelligence. The show was great and would still bee around if more people in this country where not as ignorant. Maybe a reality show where fat people get shot in the head would be more to the tastes of the general public. No wonder the rest of the world hates America.

what show is this, look pretty stupid to me. All i see is an unrealistic series of events with an FBI swat team, followed by a stunt that cost zero dollars they jump into a pool....
billbong88, you do not really understand the concept of being fan, do you? it's not about the special effects or expensiveness - there isn't any for sure. see, it would look simple and boring if it was a regular "boom-bang" action scene. but this way it's art.
i can name billions of regular actions scenes. can you name me a scene like this? with the same idea?
I agree totally at the brilliance of this scene; from T1& T2 we already know what happens when Police confront a Terminator; the TV show just found a very imaginative way to do it without breaking their budget OR getting into trouble with the censor.
Best fucking scene in the entire series, bar none. It's not enough for Cromartie to wipe out an entire FBI squad, he has to do it with Johnny Cash playing in the background.

I hope ya'll realize that this series is a warning call to the American people about the New World Order.. with cameras and microphones at intersections, Big Brother will be everywhere if we don;t try to stop it.
Pay attention to the story, you will see what i'm talking about.
@troyg19 You moron, go study some evolutionary psychology and find out why you are so paranoid.
Big Brother? ha a bit self involved aren't you? no body gives a shit what your doing in your small insignificant life. The government has better things to do.
This was a really great scene and proves you dont need to spent tons of money showing shootouts. Just toss some people in a pool with the right music and it works out fine.
I love how Ellison accepted his fate only to be viewed as a Non-Threat to this advanced infiltrating terminator. He did the same thing to the SWAT team at the bank and walked past them since their weapons were lowered. Cant wait for S2!
I would wager it had little to do with their weapons being down, and more to do with the mere fact that they were no threat even with their weapons. But it probably had a lot to do with his not wanting to engage an entire SWAT team outside of the bank and attract massive attention to himself. So yes, infiltration is a major part of it. But I still don't believe the Terminators are "Borg" like and just ignore anything that lowers a weapon. They do whatever is needed in the given situation.

Doesn't really make sense how Ellison and Cromartie suddenly appear by the pool as they were upstairs beforehand.
MilesEd 3 years ago
They were falling back (you can hear them say it) and I assume Cromartie followed them down
MadJaxter 3 years ago
the part when they all go in the pool is the best

Totally agree, I don't think they could top this scene
for me its what attracted me to the show,

This is the best SF show since the X-Files. Some episodes are stupid but for the most part the show is EXCELLENT!!!!

Wow, the music makes this scene slightly comical! All the guys got thrown in the pool and around.

Those 9mm's wouldn't do shit to a Terminator. They may as well have been throwing grapes at it.

Same. I love how Cromartie doesn't just gun down everything. Killing is only his last options. Infiltration is so much more interesting.

I dont think they originally were going to do this, I think they got caught up by the writers strike and just had to rush through.
Stantzs 3 years ago
No, all the completed episodes that were aired, were finished prior to the writer's strike.

AMV would mean animated music video, so even if you put the sound it wouldn't be an AMV.

Yes, but that's exactly what's going to be said. "omg y did u make this an amv?"
