It's a great idea to hold the dogs foot back like shoeing a horse that way the dog cant see what you are doing and dosent get nervous, if you are holding the dogs foot up in front of him its like saying look I'm about to do something to your foot!

Wel, I have a 11 months old doberman who gets aggersive when i try to cut his nails and also when i put the muzzle on he keeps snapping even tho i dont get hurt, its impossible
hello, i have a labrador that is 1 year and 2 months old, i have a problam: his hairs are falling off constantly and after i come back from school there is lots of hair on the floor. What shouyld I do to stop his hair falling off and what food kind of food would help to stop it as well. thank you
If its a female lab .. they shed more than males and SUMMER is here so it is time for them to shed a LOT .. and also it can be shampoo you are using and food ...does she loose her hair to the skin or just shedding??? .. if its spots , it can be flea bites ! I really hope that its just regular shedding .. try taking the dog to the groomer , and c if the shedding continues as much !
the first time I cut the quick by accident I felt so bad. I almost panicked but it stopped. if you are very and active and walk your dog a lot, you don't have to cut as often because of the nails hitting the pavement. It is naturally filed down.

I have a 5 pound pom,who turns into a snarling beast, although he is fine with other grooming.
It upsets me greatly that i have to pay the vet £15 to do it.

we had a lab shaved every summer to prevent that massive hair loss and keep her cooler.

hes probably just shedding. labradors and dogs with long coats tend to shed A LOT. you should buy a de-shedding comb to get all dead hair out.
