Why? Well, Youtube adds apear after 10 seconds. Because the videos are only 8 seconds the add wants to apear after the video have stopped, therefore causing browser crashes. You could add 3 seconds of black screen or something like, Comment, Favorite, Subscribe!

And it would actually be easier for them not to do anything, since it's their videos. So if you don't want to deal with the issues of ads, get an adblock and be done. There's no need for several seconds of blackness because 1% of their viewers crash.

It's much easier and faster for them to add a bit of extra video. And as I said It doesn't have to be a black screen only. It would requir a bit more work, but only once, to create a screen that says something like, Subscribe for more, or simular.
