Wow... this guy almost knows what he's talking about.. just raided naxx10? yeah, arcane deals around 300 more dps when turning from naxx10 t naxx25 raider.. when you have the proper gear you can go for frostfire and overdps the arcane with 500-1000 dps.
My toons is Midoris on Greymane btw.. just noticed people actually thinking 5kdps is impossible, i can see nubs flamming me for saying 6kdps.. i'm frostspec when i posted this.. trying to make money back, normally 0/53/18 frostfire. but yeah, same fight, 25man, arcane mage i know Sinari hit 6.8k or 6.9k dps on it, ffb i go about 5.5-5.8k but have hit 6.2k dps.
i've done 6.1k dps ffb spec on patch, this kid i know pulls out almost 7kdps arcane, course our 25 patch's are usually under 2:30, yet i've seen geared mages with almost as good / pretty much the same gear as me do under 2kdps arcane and ffb i normally see 2.8-3.1k dps on anything.. some people just can't play. Arcane currently is the way to go, but it's hard, you need to know when to switch rotations/cycles and how to conserve mana.. of course 1 arcane mage is enough for any 25's, evry1else ffb

When critting twice with certain fire spells it grants you a buff called "Hot Streak" which allows you to cast a free of casttime Pyreblast ;)
