@666occisor666 mh, that's not that easy to explain. there are 1000 discussions about that going on :P but it's this "new style" of metal. the main characteristic is the use of 7 string guitars to get these very low tones on the breakdowns and riffs, which sound a little bit orientalic?:D (also low tuned 6ers are used). to get a feeling of what djent is i can recommend bands like meshugga or after the burial.

so guys, don't hate on me. maybe everything i wrote is wrong, but that's what i know ;)

@rawen127 just to make in simple, djent is an onomatopoeia for palm muting. so thats where all the heaviness comes from, not necessarily a 7 string. although they are used alot

A lot of bands, by trying to outdo each at djent by putting uber-giga-hyper-complex-psycho riffs have lost the whole idea of what musicians should do - make MUSIC, not frikken math!

A lot of the stuff that goes out these days is complex, but absolutely un-listenable. And your stuff is heavy, interesting, not too djenty, and quite nice to listen to.
