Did Midnight have an offspring? I have a mare that is identical to yours that I got from Jean at Woodhaven. Her name is Jasmine and she is between 4 and 5. Extremely smooth ride. She also put her ears back when cantering
I don't think Midnight has any offspring. Jasmine might be Beauty's baby. Beauty is a black quarter horse mare at Woodhaven that is smooth like Midnight.
I don't know exactly why she does that. She extremely smooth at the canter and has never shone signs of being in pain. She's also never bucked/kicked out or anything while I'm cantering her. So, I'm not sure exactly why she does that, she'll occasionally prick her ears forward but usually they're back. But I've never had any problems with her at the canter...does that help?
Lol I love it when you go to pick up her hooves. She like. Here have it. Just picks it up before you get your hand down to it. Lol she's beautiful. I wish i could have her but I have my own moody mare and i'm trying to help a gelding that needs care

Was midnight head shy because in the beginning of summer 2011 there was a horse that was head shy kinda looked like midnight but I am not sure.

@sydisawesome1 At the beginning of the summer she was because she had a spider bite near her ear. But she's fine now :)

Might be because of the wind. It tickles their ears when the air goes in and messes with the hairs.
