  • Not the barrel from the Iowa. It wasnt damaged as the explosion blew out from the open breech. All the damage occurred in the gun house, hoist equipment and in the flats below. This was a spare barrel or perhaps an old test barrel from Dahlgren sent up for scrapping.

  • This is not the barrel from Turret 2, USS IOWA. It's definitely a battleship rifle. Likely a Mark 7. And definitelyl a piece of history.
