@9053mods The length of the servo is a little longer by about 2mm, so the servos might be close to each other. Additionally, you might need to reverse the servo settings on the TX. to function properly. A little more work than the Metal Gear Servo we sell.
You have too much negative pitch applied at zero throttle and need to adjust for slightly more positive pitch. Adjust via your WK-2603 by getting into the PLT/PZT Programming mode. Refer to your user's manual as it would take too long to explain here. Also check out video out regarding setting up the Pitch and Pitch Travel on your WK-2603. All clockwise rotating helicopters will always tend to sway left upon takeoff. You just need to practice and adjust for when taking off.
can you guys tell me why this heli does not want to lift off, and always wants to tilt over to the left...already install brushless motor and metal gear servos..........NEED HELP.........THANX
@9053mods Have you flown the heli since you installed the servos and motor? your gyro's might need to be reversed, or maybe your motor is plugged in backwards. FYI, If you're not already on it, there is a great thread started by kdean on the rcgroups forum about this heli. If you describe your history with the heli and your problems, many people on there are more than happy to try to help.
@walkeranewbie The Collective Pitched (CP) design allows this helicopter to handle wind much better than the Fixed Pitched (FP) helicopter such as the Walkera U-FLY. The 6-Channel CP is typically the next step up from flying a typical 4-cahnnel FP Helicopter, especially with the 3-G flybarless technology. Super Stable versus the old bell-hiller technology.
Is this harder to fly then walkera #4?(which can only hover a short time)? and how hard is compared to flying a blueray 450 which i have but am affraid to fly...i mastered all coaxials and NE free spirits fp..but own a #4 a blueray, but radio i was told is crappy and a lot of tweaking is involved which intimidates me..was thinking maybe this one would be a better next step
@roadstar499 The Blueray is belt driven and is not flybarless. It is harder to fly than the Walkera V400D02. The Walkera V400D02 uses the 3G Technology (Formerly 3-axis Gyro Technology). This stabiliztion technology makes it really easy for a beginner transitioning to a 6-channel Collective Pitch (CP) Heli. It is also very easy to repair compared to the Blueray as the Tail section is a motor. No hassle with calibrating the tail servo or belt tension after a crash. Just replce tail motor.
@7RTFHELI Thanks for info... other then servo problems(easy fix) i read about and parts availability it still seems like a good next heli step for around $150.
Nice flight vid. Now mention all the problems with the servos on the Heli !!! Anyone can Google the Heli and find 90% of owners have had their servos break without any major crashes. The servos break right out of box, on soft normal landings, touching the tail fin first on landings , etc... There are also a lot of reports of the servos just stripping in the air.
Walkera needs to address this problem and not cause owners to upgrade to other metal gear servos right off the box!
@Lenny7118 While Walkera made this helicopter with plastic gear servos to keep the price low, it has caused the problem of servo stripping on minor crashes. We have found that because of the flybarless desgin, the three cyclic servos have more stress as there is no flybar anymore. We have solved this problem by replacing them with Metal Gear (MG) servos. A very easy problem to resolve.
@7RTFHELI I know your servos you use are cheaper to buy from someone else other tehn you but I wont say the name to ruin your sales :P
However you mention that all 3 servos cant be mounted. They can. I can show you a picture :)
Also in the video, though you NEVER mention you cut off the side of the Canopy support. I found a way around this by simply drilling a hole through. If you want I can send you pictures. I also have a "buisness Propsition" for you but you can PM me about that... ;)
nice review ! i just bought this heli 15mins ago after i saw like 3 reviews of it i was in love ! totaly ! hope that evrything that u show and said to us is true ! looks awsome ! gonan recieve it in 4 days !
@goldenWillmen Thanks. We like this helicopter also. Definately get the brushless main motor upgrade and metal tail boom support as these are weak points for the helicopter. Goto: RTF-HELI.COM and look under the MODS Menu on the left hand side. You can also upgrade to Carbon Fiber Blades and a Larger LIPO Battery for Longer Flight times.
@7RTFHELI thanks for the info ! i alredy made an order for another battery pack but not for the motor upgrade. is that really necessary? i mean is that just because the durability of the motor will only be longer or its rly more power? and if its more powerfull is that mean that ur flight time less longer ( because the motor upgrade need more power from the battery?
Great Heli the V400D02 would love to get one, but just a pity you dont ship international, and local dealers here dont have spare parts for them yet either
@JollySwagman2006 We will be shipping certain helicopters internationally and we will have spare parts soon for the Walkera "V" series of helicopters. These are new helicopters and Walkera is currently manufacturering the spare parts for distribution.
@bluehazer The days of the Flybar helicopter are over. Flybarless technology is here to stay. Walkera is already modifying all of their existing single rotor helicopters to be flybarless. We will hopefully be getting some RTF V400D02 helicopter kits before the year end holiday season. Visit us at: RTF-HELI.COM
@bluehazer Thanks for asking. The 2.4Ghz Walkera V450D01 is available in limited quantites and is selling for about $350 with the Walkera 2801-PRO TX. It sports a metal flybarless rotor head driven by a main brushless motor. The tail is belt driven. We have yet to get our hands on one.
@bassax7045 We think Walkera wanted to make this helicopter cheap enough to buy as the new entry level 6-channel CP helicopter. The other "V" Series helicopters cost way more as they do have a brushless motor and shaft drive tail (V200D01). But don't worry, we have already protoyped this helicopter with a Main Brushless Motor and it works great.
@aero380380 Thanks. The flybarless helicopters should be a game change for the industry. They fly really stable. We will be getting these helicopters into the U.S.A. within the month.
i have seen others use this servo, will i encounter any probs

@9053mods Definately get the metal gear servos. The HK are okay, just a little bigger than the ones we sell.

@Lenny7118 Nope. The plastic gear servos are 42$. You can get MG for 21$...
The only reason walkera chose nylon is because people will just blindly keep buying replacements... :P
