As if venomfang accepts video responses. I've tried watching most of his videos but i've hardly ever finished one of them. I feel like my brain's being blended up and spooned out through my nostril every time i watch.
Just because something is good for your health, doesn't mean it's morally wrong. The people knew it through trail and error: as they thought bad things only happened to bad people, they thought god was punishing them with the disease for eating pork and wrote it in the bible.
1) To be honest, I can only speak for myself and so can you. You have posed a question neither of us can answer. But as such a religious person, speaking for myself. No I am not afraid to leave my religion. I choose to follow my religion out of my own volition and am at peace with it. There's no other way I could co-exist with it.
Now this isn't to say that they are too stupid to believe in some supernatural force legitimately or with a touch of reason and intelligence.. But when the person believes they know more than I because they read a book written by the very men they say are flawed as all hell I lose respect for that person. They do not have a developed sense of humanity, reality, morality ect. You cannot obtain these things through obvious falsehoods simply because some flawed humans wrote a flawed book.
Why should I give the creator of the universe a break? Do I care if idiots get angry? Not really... They get angry if you don't join their religion.. Put these people in the inquisition times and they literally would have killed us for not giving in to their insanity.
god gives people too many excuses to do wrong in this world..such as.. you can be forgiven just ask for it, it's all gods plan, bla bla bla on and on...
#3 How could a god who is all-knowing and all-loving (YOU CANT ACT AS IF THESE TWO STATEMENTS AREN'T TRUE) create a hell at all or allow a hell at all? Everything that ever was or will be is in his control and therefore HIS FAULT... He has free will as humans do, he has choices. He chooses to be an evil, cruel, apparently stupid.. god.
3) No, because the purpose of creating us, giving us free will was to test us. God is not responsible for our actions, we are. Which is why hell exists for the truely evil. God is punishing us for our actions, not his. We are free in this world to do what we like, that is the test of this life, the reason for our being, to prove the goodness inside of us. One of his perfect qualities has to be perfect justice. Every good action rewarded, every bad punished.
Hell does exist, people will be punished for their actions. I cannot deny this. But the punishment will be fair. Also in Islam there is not the same hell as in Christianity or Judaism, it is not eternal. A person's stay in hell is proportional to the bad that they have commited.
All God tells us to do is be righteous people. Believing in him is the same as not lying, not stealing, not manipulating, being charitable, being forgiving and being just.
and I am certainly not going to get angry with you if you disagree with me. You are as entitled your opinion and beliefs as I am to mine. I will and have, however, got angry when you insult me. I'll give you respect so long as it's reciprocated, the same as anyone else. Maybe that's where you've been going wrong.
Most forms of judaism don't even seem to have a hell, they just obliterate sinners, which is slightly better than a short period of soul smelting in Hell, though Islamic Hell > Christian Hell by an infinite ammount :)
The question of why god allows them to commit bad acts is still open, when they could've been made just as free but without the desire to do evil. As all people's desires, thoughts and actions were determined by God when he made their souls and bodies He's really responsible.
the only evidence we have of god is the bible then if this is a book handed down to us from an omnipitent being it should be without peer genises for instance has been totaly debunked.the hypothosis of a new earth flys in the face of 99% of the scientific comunity, also if there is a god where has he been lately no turning peploe into pillars of salt no sightings he certainly hasnt spoken to me,there is to much evidence against there being a creator, the world is round, devils dont make disease!
Why does a perfect Being (who therefore knows everything incluing the future) need to test us? He knew what we'd do in the test before we even were created. If the test is meant to teach us something, he could've taught us something more efficiently (because he's omnipotent).
The belief in perfect justice is the cause of the belief that people who get diseases are all evil and deserve it. Which is also the reason the jews thought pork brought god's wroth.
The problem is that, if you have a creator god that is omniscient, the concept of free will goes out the window.
You see, an omniscient god already knows what you're going to do in every moment of your life. One cannot choose to NOT perform the actions that have been foreseen; saying it is possible to do so is saying that the god in question is not actually all-knowing.
Therefore, said omniscient entity choosing to punish people for doing what they were predestined to do anyway is unfair.
#2 If a child is born, and is immediately thrown into a dark box, they are beaten, raped, tortured, mutilated for 5 years of life until they are killed by this captor via starvation. So they've never left the box, know no language, have never heard of god and they die. Why does an all-loving and all-knowing god burn this person in fire (which is very painful, and pointless since they never knew anything but a box and so don't know why they are being burned) for all eternity?
2)Ultimately, God is the judge of this situation and you can't make his decision for him. Based on what I know, which hasn't been spread by a firebrand preacher intent on conversion. God says he is the judge at the end of days. He repeats himself many times that those that have done no wrong will have nothing to fear and that it is his responsibility to spread his message to the people of this world. Plainly, the only person going to hell here is the captor. Also, all kids go to heaven if dead.
If all kids go to heaven, surely the rational thing for any parent to do is to murder their children as soon as they leave the womb, so they'll guarantee their kids a place in heaven? The problem with strict laws is that you can always find a loop-hole somewhere to make a mockery of them.
God is the captor if he exists: He created the chain of non-random events that led to our every sinful thought, and allowed randomness to creep in, and so imprisone us to lives of disobedience and sin.
yeah. He does have a disrespect for human intelligence. He absolutely loathes it because he is envious that he was not granted with said intelligence.
The phrase Intelligent Falling has nothing to do with my intelligence or lack of it. Look the phrase up before deciding what it means and assuming what I mean by using it as my screenname. thanks.
I think he knows that and is being a jerk.. everyone stop being jerks.. I may make people angry but it's because I bring up unanswerable questions.. That's the most effective way to change a person process of thinking..
I seriously asked you questions Joe #1 Do you not believe that a good portion of people counted as religious on this earth are so because they are afraid to leave the religion?
You are saying things like "fuck god" which most religious people take very personally and it is stirring up anger. Its not just because they cant answer the question, which I dont believe they logically can. It, as you said, always comes back to the source. If the source of everything is God then all evil in the universe is his fault as well. I agree with that, but I also think the way I just phrased it is less likely to make people more hard headed against you. imo
Fun fact: even in the Bible, it states that "...I create good and evil; I, the Lord God, do all these things."
In the original Greek and Hebrew texts, it also makes Satan out to be a servant to God, sent to test humanity.
But then, it also states that God couldn't defeat an army for his people because they were in iron chariots. So, one has to decide whether to be a literalist or take the Bible as the parable-lesson it was originally meant to be.
Also, you have completely missed the point haven't you. I did open my mind. I am prepared to discuss with athetists, christians, jews, hindus and have done in the past. And I am still a muslim, that's what makes it so sure in my mind you see.
I have tried it against science. In fact I am a scientist, so I know a lot more about the subject than the average joe.
Instead of writing so much, please spend your time reading sometimes. Thanks.
Also, I think you are reading a tad too much into a casual 500 character reply I gave, also, might I add, to the question posed in the video not to prove the finality of my faith. Ergo, wait for a better oppounity to declare your crusade against faith.
I could answer all these points but the fact is I am so sure you will miss the point and your mind is so closed that there will be no debate; so I won't.
Also screaming does help, screaming can scare animals away
A lot of you are waking up though, I am sure a lot more muslims also realize the reality of the world, they are simply stuck in their society with no way out. How many religious people would say they don't believe this nonsense if they were not afraid of the maniacs who at least use religion and possibly are crazy enough to actually believe it..
Humans would do the latter... Even though it makes no logical sense.. There is nothing inside the dark room with you, no god, no chance, no hope. Just like life. It will end and you are all afraid of that. So you kick and you scream.
Not calling you a maniac, but there are too many unstable humans due to the flaws in the brain created by an overwhelming need to survive...
If you are trapped in a dark room, and there is a snake with you.. you know you are going to die. what makes more sense for the brain to do..? Accept death calmly and realistically? Or jump around like a lunatic, pray to any magical being you can think of, crap on yourself, piss your pants, cry like a baby and scream as you die..
And if people actually got their morals from religion humanity would never have made it to this point as there were NO religions for 99% of our evolution. Why did we not wipe each other out... How did complex social groups necessary for survival in the wild develop.
So what if Islam is what you have been taught, open your mind up to reality and become greater than your teacher ever was.
We know life is hard and sad, but we won't give maniacs a "holy" exuse to do whatever they want in its name
Why do I have to prove that? Shall I write a fairy tale like scientology and call it real? Humans ARE that easily manipulated, that they will join a crazy group whether it makes any sense in anyones eyes but their own. They don't care..
You are THE SAME as they are.
Actual thorough questioning of the religious state of this planet shows you what is actually going on. Animals *humans* can now think, so they made up a reason to be..
In response to your question, yes, humans do have intelligence and dignity, anyone who says different is a fool.
However, we are not perfect, religion gives us a sense of what is right and wrong. Most of our modern ideas of right and wrong and legal systems are derived from religious jurisprudence. Religion has given us a lot, I try my best never to lie or to manipulate words for one reason, for God, even if it is also common sense, though most intelligent people still forget that.
I'm thinking of posting a video explaining in more depth about morals. I think religion was a way of TEACHING people morals, which were ultimately decided by man. Man then used a religion to tell people how to live.
Ah, you do know that other animals have moral systems and working civil societies, too... right? So where did theirs come from?
Just a thought here...
Doesn't it make sense for ideas like "murder is bad" and "don't steal" make sense as survival traits? I mean, killing people is counter to the whole "survival of the species" thing, and stealing makes you a social outcast (thus lowering your chances of breeding and being part of the community).
I am a believing muslim, with my faith tried and tested. So I guess I'll try and express opinion other side of the divide, or be your whipping boy.
I do believe that God exists, I do believe that he has in fact proved as much, indeed through science. With verses existing in the Qu'ran concerning the Big Bang, the expansion of the universe and even evolution. Indeed, I appreciate when the text itself tells me to think and question about everything written in it.
I'm a baptized & confirmed roman catholic. They count me... so... :)
For any religious wonderboys out there answer this.. If someone created us how does a "god" exist without a creator of his own? Is his creator a god? Which do you pray to? How long does this procession of supreme beings go on exactly...? 1000 levels of gods? So silly... So silly is there was one to pray to a god who has his own god who has his own god to pray to.. I guess on top is a big fat god with a cigar and a pile of $
Anyone with an open mind who actually looks at evidence and listens to all the contradictory things religious people say to claim their religion is right knows the truth about this world.
Will it ever change? It already is. Half the people counted as religious I know in my heart don't believe the lies and stupidity. Whether these people hope there is a being who created us or not they know the books are BS written by man...

In fact, that aspect of Hell wasn't even canon until some time after the First Council of Nicaea.
