you can really see that bob dylan's lyrics didnt come from nowhere. he placed himself in line with a long tradition of romantic, funny, traditional songs. he did it pretty superbly too. this is wonderful

After taking some guitar lessons as a kid, I stopped playing. But when I heard Joan Baez singing traditional and then Dylan songs in the Sixties, I took it up again and have been playing ever since.

Seeing and hearing those early performances remains the most stunning and mesmerizing musical entertainment I've ever enjoyed.
