you can really see that bob dylan's lyrics didnt come from nowhere. he placed himself in line with a long tradition of romantic, funny, traditional songs. he did it pretty superbly too. this is wonderful
After taking some guitar lessons as a kid, I stopped playing. But when I heard Joan Baez singing traditional and then Dylan songs in the Sixties, I took it up again and have been playing ever since.
Seeing and hearing those early performances remains the most stunning and mesmerizing musical entertainment I've ever enjoyed.
you know you can only see your damnation, not another mans. How might the king of paradise reign? through his mercy, huh shown to the weak? in paradise there were weaklings and months and hours.
The police burn in hell. Oh christ walked upon water... lakes of fire, lakes of rire. Did you see christ walk in his kingdome. No he walked upon water, whatever that means. i saw eve without a master.
In '65 i was in love with her and Mimi They were all in the Boston/ Cambridge thing .Dylan was got the big straw ( Tom Rush and a few others missed out -
Farewell Angelina, the bells of the crown Are being stolen by bandits, I must follow the sound, The triangle tingles and the trumpets play slow, Farewell Angelina, the sky is on fire and I must go. Theres no need for anger, theres no need for blame, Theres nothing to prove, evrythings still the same. Just a table standing empty by the edge of the see Means farewell Angelina, the sky is trembling, and I must leave.
The Jacks and the Queens have forsaked the courtyard 52 Gypsies now file past the guards In the space where the deuce and the ace once ran wild Farewell Angelina, the sky is folding, Ill see you in a while. See the crosseyed pirates sitting perched in the sun Shooting tin cans with a sawed-off shotgun And the neighbors they clap and they cheer with each blast Farewell Angelina, the sky is changing color, and I must leave fast.
King Kong little elves on the roof tops they dance Valentine-type tangos while the make-up mans hands Shut the eyes of the dead not to embarass anyone Farewell Angelina, the sky is embarassed, and I must be gone. The machine guns are roaring, the puppets heave rocks The fiends nail time bombs to the hands of the clocks Call me any name you like, I will never deny it Farewell Angelina, the sky is erupting, I must go where its quiet.
Beautiful in every way.

La version de Nana Mouskouri est moins molle.
Jeremie1987 5 months ago
@Jeremie1987
"Moins molle"???
