Is there a way to trick climate change denial senators and big coal, oil, etc. lobbies into passing something that may not be effective in the short term, but has the potential for massive escalation in limits to pollution, be it cap and trade or otherwise? Would it be possible to pass cap and trade and then amend it in the future when it's found that planting trees isn't effectively reducing CO2 levels?

if Cap & Trade passes it will be nearly impossible to amend it because the bureaucrats won't do it... the point of it being that we don't need Cap & Trade because it's Gore, Obama, Big Oil & Coal and others that will profit off of it and in actuality they're purchasing Carbon Credits from themselves allowing them to continue to pollute...The people destroying the environment will continue to do so but by wearing Green camouflage.

California and the DOD receintly awarded  contracts to 2 companies with home hydrogen electrolyzer appliances for use in H autos and home energy needs to explore the viability of mass production and costs.

Lets hope the politicaly powerful fossil fuel industry doesn't suceed in crushing this belated common dream of sustainable private distributed energy for the masses also.

Actually people use coal, because that's what's given to them! they don't care what makes their lights turn on when they get home at night, all they care about is that the lights come on. they don't really have a choice even if they do care! there's a coal plant in your area and one power company...the average citizen is screwed. the gov't has to do this! the free market is not a viable solution to obtain a resolution for this issue

I've seen the documentary...but from what i understand the majority of scientists in academia, never mind the United Nations for a moment, believe in Global Warming. The science they claim is very strong and points to man-made global warming. I hope for my future children's sake that they are wrong (but I would place my trust in peer-reviewed scientific journals rather then what politicians or conservative/liberal talk show hosts say to appease their base of supporters and lobbyists)

Well the consensus in reality is unknown because since Climategate and the Danish Text leak many are no longer convinced by the scientists out of East Anglia who were unwilling to share their data. If anything those 2 events probably created a lot of skeptics. In reality we won't know what the real science on ManMadeGW is until more independent sources investigate it, not funded by special interest. I personally trust Piers Corbyn more than anyone else and his info is at: weatheraction(.)com
