  • i am so happy that neither one of us has to go through this again for hopefully a long time!!

  • I have to move after 12yrs! My old slumlord left this place a deathtrap and new slumlord wants to gut it. Too many repairs and after 2yrs has done nothing! I have to cash advance a credit card and have 2 weeks to get a place for oct 1st. Have 2 cats or I could live in a shoebox. I am in a bachlor want a one bedroom but too expensive! Enjoy your new place! Glad you kept your dog. Mine died and can tell you if I had another would never be able to get a place! Cats easier. Take Care

  • Thanks for not throwing away your dog like so many people do when they decide to move. I do a lot of animal rescue work and so many family "pets" are killed each day because people decided to move and take them to a shelter where most do not come out alive. Dogs aren't disposable! You are clearly a kind, intelligent person. I'm glad you found what you were looking for! : )

  • this is like me looking for a summer job lol

  • dang this is back in march!!! wow, 12 yearssssss, wow, congrats on getting the place. persistence does pay off.

  • You're cute with an underlying sadness, and you're a Sci fi fan, too bad you don't want friends on here or twitter.

I have a paid for 3 story historical small farm in the country with a trout stocked river out front and a spring water creek that comes down off my mountain in waterfalls to the river. I find 12,000+ yr old indian pottery and fossils from the permian period when I rake. Fresh spring water and free range eggs everyday. Free apartment on 3rd floor, just utilities, skylights. NW NJ

  • Congrats on finding a place! I'm a single mom too but can't afford an apartment yet. have to live with my parents. ahhhhhh. lol

  • I'm glad to hear you found a decent place even if it is a transitional place. I always drove around neighborhoods I wanted to live in as well as the other usual ways. Sheesh, 12 years, that's how long I was married. You look great and this will be a turn for the better I'm sure. I'm glad Moses got to go too.

  • I was married for 10 - we lived together for 2 before that = 12 long years. :-)

  • Always nice to have a new place. I need to look you up on twitter. :)

  • looking forward to getting to know you on twitter!

  • So glad to 'see' you! <3

I'll continue to 'stalk' you on Twitter. ; )

  • ((((Jo))))

  • Congrats :)

  • Thanks Brian. See you in tweetville.

  • Huzzah to new apartments and new beginnings!

  • Huzzzah! See you in twitterville.

    xo

  • at least the first step is done with, everything will fall into place.

  • first step is a good place to begin ... looking forward to moving further forward. Thanks for watching Joe!

  • Your new beginning starts with a bit of luck. It's a good sign.

  • Robert -- I miss you!! How is film school? What great new video are you working on for us? Will you PLEASE come to the SF gathering?? PLEASE???

  • Oh, yeah, I'm breaking out of shell. The SF gathering might be nice. I guess I should watch a few more videos to find out when and where. Peace.

  • That is such good news Corey!! Congrats! Sooo good to see you sweetie! We've missed you terribly! Love ya, GandP

  • I miss you too. You have been wonderful support!

  • I'm still busy looking for my soul.

    -JP

  • I have it here. I'll give it to you at the end of the month.

  • yeah, that's why i think i'm totally OCD.....i can't keep from pressing 'refresh.'

congrats on the new digs..... <3

  • Thanks for the congrats. It's not quite right for us, so we'll move again in August ... but it's a good transition space. Will you come down at the end of the month for the gathering? REALLY looking forward to meeting you! (And Margory)

  • yup, margorie and i are comin'! and we can't wait to meet you and pearl!!!! ; )

  • Nice to see you again....Love your hair...I'm glad you found something suitable. Good Luck! -Dennis

  • Thanks for watching Dennis! And thanks for the compliment. :-)

  • Congrats! It will be an adjustment for you and the kids, but with time things will only get better!!! You did it - so proud of you!!!

  • Thank you for all the support Sue. You're the best.

  • Has anyone ever said you're as hot as Isla Fischer? Like you could be her long lost sister or something?

  • I had to look her up... thanks for the awesome compliment -- since I could actually be or long lost MOTHER or something! :-) (Will you be coming up for the SF Gathering?)

  • Ahh! I always forget that you're a MILF! (If you'll excuse the term.) I would come up, but looking at the cost of it all, I'm a little hesitant. The hotel rooms I got going to Vegas were a lot cheaper! I've never driven that far before, don't know if I could do San Fran. :/ One day we'll meet, promise! I promise.

  • a MILF -- hahahahaha!

if you don't come up to this SF Gathering then you will miss your only chance EVER to celebrate my 40th birthday. Seriously.

  • So, I started thinking about it last night. I was hesitant. Slept on it. I'm thinking about it more seriously now.

But that's not a confirmation yet, the ony reason to go up there for me right now would be to see you!

40!?! 0.o! How can you be 40? You look least 5 years younger in pictures and like ten in video, you act like you're my age and maybe a little younger, I always forget that you're an adult with little kids running around.

  • Nice, congrats! I've actually been on the hunt myself for a while now.. might be moving in the next few months, we'll see.

  • The apartment is fine for now, but we will move again in August (sigh) so I have another search to look forward to. Good luck on your househunt!

  • Adjusting to a new home - not an easy task (sometimes less easy than others).

To answer your question in the description, I've lucked out the most just by driving through areas where I knew I wanted or needed to look. The best apartment I ever had (my favorite, anyway) was an accidental discovery just by taking an alternate route to work just to see if certain streets connected like I thought they did.

Plus, it was fun to "hunt" - made me feel more manly.

    ;-P

  • Maybe that's the problem -- hunting doesn't seem natural to me ... I'm more of a "gatherer"

Speaking of which -- will I see you at the gathering in a few weeks?

  • Congrats! You did it! Like Howard Jones once said, "Things can only get better" :)

  • SAM -- your encouragement and support and kindness have been absolutely precious to me the last few months.

    <3

  • You are a wonderful mother and strong woman and deserve happiness and now it's coming!! Love you lots!! *big squishy hug* :) I'm still here if you want to chat :)

  • I have no suggestions... I searched for places much like you did. All the best with the new adventures! <3

  • Thanks Jason. Looking forward to seeing you soon.

  • Good for you missy! :)

I'll make my way out there soon enough!

  • Jenn -- I have something button-y for you!

  • Congratulations and Good Luck with everything. New beginnings are always a little intimidating but rewarding.

  • Thanks Danny -- we're transitioning well. See you in twitterland.

    :-)
