  • walked away, and no damage to the A/C, or property, fine job if you ask me.

  • Everyone in the opposite direction is just like "dafuq is a plane doing down here?"

  • I'll take a road over a field anyday! Good job!

    Dont listen to the haters...

  • if you had of descended more steeply and at slightly higher airspeed would this of allowed you to touch down more softly.

  • Wow, nicely done sir.

  • Good landing....

xD I can just imagine what the people on the other side of the highway were thinking xD

  • Great landing! I wonder what all those cars were thinking! Nxt time tho, keep the camera above the dashboard so we don't see all white.

Lucky there weren't wires! Or else yo probably would be dead or seriously injused from a wire strike! Perfect landing tho!

  • Bob is an uninformed jackass. My instructor would jump all over me if I ignored the obvious road in a simulated forced landing. A road is generally a Godsend when the props stop.

  • My first wife (of french descent) survived a plane crash in 1990 in a Cessna 172 which killed her parents and 2 sisters. They were high up over mountains in South Africa and there was nowhere to land flat and it all went wrong. This guy wasn't wrong to land on the highway as had my wife's father had one to land on they'd all be alive. Don't comment on this video unless you have experienced REAL life regarding life and death in a plane.

  • great job. except for the part where you landed on a road. Correct procedure is to land in the perfectly good field to the right of the road. But glad it all worked out.

  • @robertl30 "Correct Procedure is to land in the perfectly good field"?? So tell me, when did you qualify for your PPL? Dipshit.

  • @HeinzTheBean July 2011. You?

  • @HeinzTheBean Landing on a road is only not recommended. Some pilots would say not to do it while others will. The main danger is wires that you can't see.

  • Awesome emergency landing, great pilot, good job!

  • Fuck Yeah

  • God damn thats impressive! Hats off to you guys!

  • Great landing man!!!!

  • achievement unlocked Land an airplane in a highway... LIKE A BOSS

  • Good landing

  • wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww, good job man vraiment fort fiou :P

  • 2:14 - "Pas pire comme première ride d'avion"???

It was one of the guy's first time in a plane! That will give him some good memories!! :)

PS: Vraiment bien joué! Great job!

  • GrEAT MAN...all under control, so calm....very good big boy, give me 5 !

  • Du GRAND ART !!!! bien joué man .... RESPECT !!

  • Great Job !!

  • You're lucky you didn't get a speeding ticket.

  • Hi! Great job, all respect for the pilot! I'm wondering about why did you choose the motorway? (As I can see there were fields on both side of the road.) In our country we also have motorways and wide roads but I was instructed to avoid them and it should only be the last-last-last option. NO disrespect, just curious! Safe landings!

  • @nullakilenc In an emergency the BEST option should be used. The roadway was relatively flat and straight with no wires overhead. The fields, especially in Quebec would probably have been so muddy they would have flipped. In the US and Canada it is taught to utilize any available space to land and a wide roadway is taught to be truly ideal. You will pass over vehicles, giving them a glimpse of you and causing them to slow down, as you flare for landing you slow so the cars ahead keep going.

  • WTF???...

I Mean... are these 3 pepole IDIOTS? sorry but i think they are assholes!!!

aniway Great job man, Greate JOB!!! you saved the lives of your passengers, and the lives of those on the ground... all emergencies/incidents even the smalest ones should be taken seriuosuly... and you showed a proper way to handle a big problem, a dead engines is a very serious thing... Congrats men!

I hope tha me, and every pilot could react like you in a situation like that.

  • @B3nder69 Tell me what can these 3 people can do ?

  • le monde qui passaient sur lautoroute devaient faire WHAT THE FUCK en osti loll asteur tu te range sur la voie daccotement pis tu criss tes hazard pis tappele une remorqueuse lol

  • 3 Ppl never landed a plane on a highway

  • the driver behind must be thinking what a cool car the plane is

  • Amazing video! Thanks for sharing!

  • I would like to know the cause of enginefailure. Greate landing by the way :)

  • lovely to see rural Canada by plane... via the highway. !

  • GOOD JOB!

  • @hoobatooba ahh didnt even notice a bridge GOOD CALL! lol ;)

  • Id laugh if u came apon roadworks

  • What might the drivers on the other side of the road was thinking...

  • wow

  • what was the temptation to just continue free weeling down the motorway :L

  • Nice man!!!

  • fantastic pilot! great emergency landing without consequences!!

  • respect.

Why does someone not like it?

  • Respect pilot!!

  • ROAD TRIP!

  • very great skills of the pilot! respect to you, man!

  • This is insane! Why didnt you land at some grass field or anything? Anyway... Great job nice landing!

  • @FsxCaptainLukas because its better to land on a surface like a runway(if possible) or a roadway or parking lot, because 1st its easier on the plane, 2nd its easier to recover, 3rd you never truly know what the condition of the surface is under the grass..

  • @piloty5 Ok. I am just a simmer so far. Only 13. Now I understand. Nice video again!

  • @piloty5 Well, this sure depends on the country you fly. I'm a pilot myself (Only SEP) and here in switzerland, a pilot should avoid to land on a street or highway whenever it is possible. Our streets are full of cars an there are road signs, light posts, trees, cables, bridges and corners everywhere around streets.

But we do have many even and (mostly...) dry fields. So in siwtzerland for example, a field is the better option.

  • @MrLowAltitude true, but if you had a choice, the road/parking lot would cost the same in fines/recovery costs as the field. and if you land on the roadway its just a little bit easier to clean up

  • @piloty5 Yep, thats true. If i really had a choice, I would take a concrete place too ;-)

But where I fly (LSZG - Grenchen, Switzerland), there are only very few roard where you could land on. We don't have wide and long roads like you americans have... Sadly!

  • @MrLowAltitude oh. and i live in a city so i would problably have a better chance landing on a roof than a road, lol

  • @piloty5 Oh... I wouldn't want to have an engine failure over a big city... Damn :-P

  • @MrLowAltitude The vid says its in canada. But alot of the roads in here in america was built to land planes on. They have been for many years now.

  • haha wtf I wonder what the driving people thougt :P

  • I would have chosen a field. Like I diid one month ago.

  • @Nicotufly yes i would of chosen next to the highway

  • @Nicotufly

of course he could youse also a field!

but i think you are a experienced pilot with maybe 10 Years ore more experience. And he is just mhm maybe 20 - 30 years old. A field is a hard, dangerous runway, but a highway is like a real runway, and so, its better for him to land on the highway

  • Very impressive, glad to see you made it

  • c'est moi

  • Nice - damn lucky there wasn't much traffic there.

  • LIKE A BOSS

  • Like a boss

  • Btw.. correct me if im wrong but seems there's so many fields around.. why not just land there instead on a highway?

  • @segr3do Fields are far more dangerous to land in than paved tarmac. There are plenty of rocks and uneven terrain to smash into.

  • Pause at 2:18 .. yeah..that's the face you get when you land on a highway...

  • he forgot to turn on his emergency lights, what a noob

  • @MrDawoot Ga eens dood!

  • Nice landing guys! Glad you guys made it down safe! Very impressed with how calm and collected you all were.

  • Great Job! Any landing you can walk away from is a good one, one in which they can use the plane again is a GREAT JOB! So what was the cause of the engine failure? Since your up north and I see clouds I am guessing Carb ice possibly?

  • @aflack No, its an intake valve on one of the cylinders .. its a really rare failure !

  • @HUMMFREAK Google translate jij dumpert gekkie jij
