  • I live in Brazil and I like booty.

  • @brunopiccinin So by your vein, Brazilian Portuguese should be identical in pronunciation for every word to Portugal Portuguese as well. As far as I know, that is not the case. How come you do not pronounce things the way your parent language pronounces it all the time?

Oh wait, that's because language EVOLVES based off of a number of factors such as class, geographic location, and the language itself.

  • Yeah dude, you totally got it wrong. I lived off this stuff in Brazil and you said it like every other American nube.

  • At first, I thought it was pronounced with a hard C, not soft.

  • Ah-kai.

  • i thought its a-chai... that what everyone in my area says anyway

  • I knew it. Some dumbass at a vitamin store was trying to tell me it was "A-Kai."

  • IT'S PRONAOUNCE ADOKAY AOKAY AKAY OKAY? OK.

  • @samisyosam no it's not, the correct is "açai" instead of "acai".

  • I think you mean AK-EYE, AS IN ACAI BERRY.

  • @AppleMacgic911

    No.

The c-cedilla is pronounced like an "s".

  • @Damnation2525 Who do you think you are really. Lmfao

  • @AppleMacgic911

    Elaborate.

  • @AppleMacgic911 I THINK YOU MEAN AÇAÍ (ah-sah-EE), AS IN 'A FRUTA AÇAÍ'.

  • @MatttCrawford You have absolutely no idea about the piece of technology you are currently using, you ignorant little shit.

  • o.o the strong syllable is the last one. açaee

  • acai your mom

  • WRONG

  • what a stupid channel

  • É Açaí, com ênfase no "eeeeee", caralho.

  • A-SIGH-EEEEEE (in a high pitched asian voice)

  • the more correct version is having the strong accent in the second syllable.. "a-saaa-e"

  • Before anything,I'm brazilian. the funny thing is that in the second one you pronunced it right, but the first and last are not there yet

  • AÇAÍ !!! not acai -_-''

  • A CAI MATE!

  • You mispronounced it.

I myself am brazilian and the correct pronounce is AÇAÍ, you must put the emphasis on "Í", not on "ÇA". Just "stetch" the "Í", which is pronounced like "ee"

"A" just as "a" from "a-rm", "ça" just as "sa" from "sa-lt", and "í" just as "ee" from "eel". Got it?

  • @brunopiccinin nope

  • @brunopiccinin Don't worry.. I speak 100 % french, and he can't pronounce all french words correctly

  • @brunopiccinin Did you miss the part where he said the correct AMERICAN ENGLISH pronunciation?

  • @scintilliaSD There's no english american pronounciation for a BRAZILIAN PORTUGUESE word. Don't try to reinvent pronounciations. If you waana say it, say it right. Once I went to USA and I heard a lot of latin based languages wrongly pronounced. Those words were names and nouns, they must be pronounced as close as possible to the actual original language. Yet, to say Açaí correctly you just need to put emphasis on "i", it's not that difficult.

  • @brunopiccinin "sa" from "sa-lt", seriously? that sounds like "só" in portuguese not "sá"

  • ... de templari

  • ACAI MOONSAULT!

  • I-sigh.

  • I thought it was' A - Kee - Sha'

  • I'm i that pathetic? Im watching these videos on a Friday night....

  • fuck that im still saying a-kai. ignorance is bliss.

  • Comment removed

  • Is it just me or does your computer freeze after watching these kind of videos?

  • @Seoulman517 mine too. funny thing... :(

  • It means shit in Chinese.

  • I watch this videos just to read top comments slamming this dumbass :)

  • I thought it was a-sa-ee?

  • You forgot the cedilla.

  • wrooong. its not a-sai

    its a-sa-ee

  • This word is two syllables, not three. It has a diphthong on the second syllable.

  • what tha fuck, write the s if you read it

  • @newFranzFerencLiszt No, no, no. It's supposed to be aÇai. Noted the little thingy on the bottom of the c? That's a letter in the portuguese alphabet that sounds like S, but because English keyboards don't have the symbol to make that, people who use these keyboards type c instead... It's not their fault that they don't have the keyboard, at least they're not changing the name of the berry just because of that.

  • @ferbrz I know the meaning of the cedilla, but this is written as acai, not açai

    btw nevermind

  • @newFranzFerencLiszt Oh that's great! Most people don't know it if they're not Portuguese speakers... Sorry :) Anyway, it's okay that people write acai, it's easy to make a cedilla on a mac but really hard on a PC if you don't have the Portuguese keyboard, I guess that as long as it's in the context of food, people will understand it :)

  • Ahh-Sigh-E

  • do you mean the tree aÇai ?

With c instead of ç it would be read a-kah-ee

  • ASS I E

  • It's AÇAÍ

  • nooo it's pronounced AH-see-EEE

  • Sir, as a portuguese native speake,I have to say you are soooo wrong! it's asaee, that would be the right pronounciation. But wait, you are wrong pronouncing Louboutin, porsche, herme....go find another hobbie ......

  • @wasser30 ola..... i dont know how to spell stuff but if i could i would talk more so... ola chaw :L

  • A KAI

  • 'Dude, if you can't pronounce it right, don't try to teach people how to do it.

And that goes for the other stuff too. This doesn't sound like portuguese or english. It just finds a way to mix them in order to say it wrong.

  • Açai

  • WROOOOOONG BITCH

  • Comment removed

  • Acai how its done

  • lolwtf is acai?

  • @IsaacJustGotPwned It's a type of fruit. Common in Brazil.

  • wut. i got here trying to make a sparta remix.

  • Ass eye.

  • Spelled açaí...(ASAEE), you wrote it wrong: Acai without the "ç" it sounds like... Akaaee

  • @luisbarvalopez

    In English don't Have ''ç''.

  • @drrrigo

Even so, it's usually spelled with "ç" when used on English-language packaging.

  • i just go around these videos laughing at the comments

  • i keep saying a-sayee :(

  • There's an accent on the i for a reason, don't accent the a.

  • I alsways thought it was AH-CHAI.

  • spelled Açaí

  • It's "a-sa-EE", the most strong sound is in the end.

  • the correct pronunciation is "a-sa-EE", not "a-SA-ee"

  • I've been trying to pronounce this word for like a year. I finally went on the Internet for the correct pronunciation. Thanks!

  • açai idiota

  • açaí, seus gringos inúteis

  • Thanks a lot for the browser-crashing ads asshole.

  • @ForcedToSignUp >Implying he chooses the ads

    Blame youtube genius.

  • how to pronounce "pronunciatinbook"

    "ree tard"

  • @LambChowder1

But you couldn't even spell "pronunciation" right...

  • Acai something blue.

  • make it easy= ai sai

  • That's wrong. Don't dedicate an entire youtube channel to pronouncing words correctly if you obviously can't.

  • açai= a-sa-E

  • I'm brazillian and it's not "a-SAH-ee" the correct it's "asah-EE". The emphasis is on "EE".

    It's a brazillian fruit.

  • @Rhalant But that has nothing to do with how the word is pronounced in English. It's not even spelled the same way. Akye is 100% acceptable. And, so it yours. His is not.

  • @trlkly Yeah, if in english pronunciation people want to say "akye" it's okay. But I just wanted to show to whoever want to know, that the most correct pronunciation of the word (in its origins, Brazil), it's "a-sah-ee".

  • @Rhalant - Exactly... in portuguese, there's graphical elements that indicates the enphasis on certain letters. It's a pain in the ass to learn, but are very useful.

  • In Canadian, we pronounce it "ass-eye"

  • @videodude1298 its kind of ironic cause when people say canadians speak canadian you guys get mad

but what did you just say?

  • @NerdyFerdy No.. I'm Canadian too, I'm just REALLY REALLY bored.

  • I should stockpile these berries.

  • I'm portuguese and I have no frikin idea of what 'açaí' means... it must be some brazilian thing.

  • @akkappul it's a berry in the amazon. so yeah brazilian

  • @akkappul ya é um fruto brasileiro..... parece tipo uma cereja....

  • @akkappul A Brazilian fruit.

  • Three syllables in a four letter word..

  • You should give emphasis to the í, açaí, a-sa-ee

  • wrong. redo. ah-sai-ee. also the word acai is missing some markings

  • it is because the word is "aÇai", not "aCai"... so the writing is wrong. Also, the "i" in the end is pronounced like 'ee'

  • The stress should be more on the 'i', at least in portuguese ( at least in Brazilian portuguese

  • Right, so don't start mouthing off.

  • i thought its a-kai lol

  • @ImTheSaxMan ME TOO AHHAHAA

  • @ImTheSaxMan That's because it is not "acai", but "açaí" :)
