is anyone else reminded of the flaming lips? The vocals remind me of them, in fact first time i heard this song i thought maybe it starred guest vocals from the flaming lips.
@himselfso They've been compared to the Velvet Underground for a long time. They were actors in the film I Shot Andy Warhol as a V U esque band. I guess that's how you make the connection. I respect their talent greatly and I'll be seeing them this Monday in Hoboken NJ where they're from and where I just moved from after living there for almost 5 years thinking they were a Salsa band for the first two. I missed so many shows because I just wasn't in the mood for Salsa. Now YLT has kicked in.
@himselfso Hey man thanks for pointing that out. I'm gonna check it out. I'm always happy to discover something new to me in music. Rock on my friend ! Z
this song always reminds me of eating bean burritos. and shopping for t-shirts. and suicide. but i mean suicide in a GOOD way. no blood and/or guts or sadness. just a nice, clean death that you can hide and make it look like it was an accident, or something.
wouldn't want your mother or friends or significant others to think that they had a role in it, somehow.
I did some really stupid things that destroyed my relationship and now I dream about my ex every other day, in these dreams everything is alright but then I wake up.. This song kinda helps :)
They have the most eclectic repertoire. you never know what they're gonna do next, and they do it so very well! One of the greatest bands alive. GENIUS !
That would imply i'm part of a label, which is apparently what "us indie kids" are against....
I am MYSELF. Granted, I'm really weird, but goddammit, nobody else is like me, so I refuse to be clumped together and treated like a scenester. If I had to be one thing, I would be a punk. I guess I kind of am. Whatever, i enjoy all kinds of music. HOLY SHIT I'M RAMBLING

its a John Cale rip-off
sounds so stolen it's like a cover version
still a fuckin cracker tune though
saw them in belfast - i smiled the whole way through
despite it saying "Yo Le Tengo" on the ticket
