The Shia are divided somewhat with Sadr and his attempt to ursurp power through his anti everyone death squads, but the Kurds are happy, and the overwelming majority of Iraqis like thier new freedom, with a government that must support all the people. Stability in Iraq is growing everyday as the country stands on its own without a brutal dictator. And they have asked the US to stay.

LOL, I guess you have a point that may be hard to refute in the name of polls. I know that the Iraqis have always considered it more acceptable to attack US troops than Iraqi citizens. I suppose that would be true in most any country. But I am wary of the polls themselves and how exactly the questions were asked, who was polled, what selection of the country was polled etc. Since most media lives in and does not leave the green zone, how accurate can these polls be? I don't trust the data.

The Sunnis have turned to the US troops for protection from Al Quada as much as they have turned to the government.
