@skinyviny1 I'm a Road Warriors fan from the early 80's when I first saw them in AWA. They absolutely DECIMATED teams. Even when they lost, they beat people up. No other team spawned so many imitators (Demolition, Blade Runners, Powers of Pain). They had a mystique around them. They simply beat teams up! They couldn't do that to the Steiners. The Road Warriors just couldn't man-handle the Steiners like they did EVERYBODY else. The Steiners destroyed their mystique.
@showtimeman5673 You would be correct, while the Stieners were a GREAT tag team, they were not the best. Hard to rank the top five but here is what I feel are the best tag teams - LOD - Hart Foundation - Bulldogs- Stiener Bros and Freebirds. (Based upon longevity and title runs)
Honorable mentions are Rock n Roll Express, Midnight Express, Hall and Nash and possibly Ted and Steve Williams

Road Warriors were the best tag team back in the day. I had the opportunity to meet Animal and Hacksaw Duggan at a GNC store for a promotion. I spoke to them for a fewminutes and they were cool to talk to, nice guys in person. RIP Hawk. :-(

Te Road Warriors and the Horsemen did promos like no other. Stone Cold and The Rock did their thing as well, but the promo kings title sticks with the LOD and the Horsemen.
Turning them babyface was a mistake, regardless of how much they were cheered. That invincible aura vanished nearly overnight. I truly feel sorry for any wrestling fans who were born too late, and never got to see these guys back in the day. WWE, man, their product sucks sweaty donkey gonads.
I agree...some where on one of this videos a poster said it all...if McMahon didn't create it, than he has to humiliate or mock it one way or another...one good thing Hawk never took any of mcmahon's crap...I've said before the wrestlers loved Vince Sr. and they HATE VinceJr...money-whore.
A couple of other posters were right, they were at their baddest and best in the AWA. I'll never forget when they first took the wrestling world by storm. At the time I was in my early twenties, in my physical prime, was a military policeman (6ft, 230) and those guys scared the shit out of me, watching them on TELEVISION! No. That match happened. Michael Hayes interfered to cost them the belts. Regal/Garvin losing the belts to Henning/Hall was a phantom match with Garvin/Regal going to WCW

who cares, its pro wrestling. it isnt like they are in a sport where there are winners and losers and doing roids will give you any advantage. its only cosmetic.
The G.O.A.T.'s. The team that redefined tag-team wrestling. That power, size and speed had NEVER been seen in pro wrestling in a unit. PLUS, they were good workers AND talkers. Hell, I often wondered why they had Ellering in the first place!
Ellering was their real life manager. He arranged their plane tickets and looked after the money. Ellering was already rich because of wise investments. Never had to work agian.

Te Road Warriors and the Horsemen did promos like no other. Stone Cold and The Rock did their thing as well, but the promo kings title sticks with the LOD and the Horsemen.

Turning them babyface was a mistake, regardless of how much they were cheered. That invincible aura vanished nearly overnight. I truly feel sorry for any wrestling fans who were born too late, and never got to see these guys back in the day. WWE, man, their product sucks sweaty donkey gonads.

I agree...some where on one of this videos a poster said it all...if McMahon didn't create it, than he has to humiliate or mock it one way or another...one good thing Hawk never took any of mcmahon's crap...I've said before the wrestlers loved Vince Sr. and they HATE VinceJr...money-whore.

A couple of other posters were right, they were at their baddest and best in the AWA. I'll never forget when they first took the wrestling world by storm. At the time I was in my early twenties, in my physical prime, was a military policeman (6ft, 230) and those guys scared the shit out of me, watching them on TELEVISION! They ran roughshod over everyone.

No. That match happened. Michael Hayes interfered to cost them the belts. Regal/Garvin losing the belts to Henning/Hall was a phantom match with Garvin/Regal going to WCW

whatever, hogan took roids, flair did, bret did. fuck it, pretty much all of them did, except for jake roberts. he just smoked a lot of crack.
who cares, its pro wrestling. it isnt like they are in a sport where there are winners and losers and doing roids will give you any advantage. its only cosmetic.

They were both on steroids, Animal said so a bunch of times. Hawks drug use, bith steroids and other drugs is what led to his early death.
Vascularity has to do with BF%, steroids don't change that.

The G.O.A.T.'s. The team that redefined tag-team wrestling. That power, size and speed had NEVER been seen in pro wrestling in a unit. PLUS, they were good workers AND talkers. Hell, I often wondered why they had Ellering in the first place!

Ellering was their real life manager. He arranged their plane tickets and looked after the money. Ellering was already rich because of wise investments. Never had to work agian.

I hate todays wrestling, but as a kid in the 80s I loved it cuz "they actually wrestled".
The Road Warriors were by far my favorite team. LOL, I was at my moms house helping her clean out the garage and attic and I found a box with my old AWA wrestling figures in it. Among them were the Road Warriors, lol. After finding that I came on Youtube to look up some old videos.
I guess I'm gonna put these up on ebay this weekend.
