Okay, because this gun is an MP5, Systema intended it to be used mostly for CQB. But because of the demand of more power, they also released the M130 cylinder for this MP5.FPS is very important. Not a n00bie mistake.... its a N00bie mistake when they think all that matters is the FPS. FPS, quality of parts including gearbox, all matter. Yet what matters the most is the player holding the weapon.

The systema's are more accurate, more reliable and will oftern outrange rifles firing at 340...

in a cheap airsoft rifle, fps is everything because its cheap and nasty, in something like a systema, its engineered to the point when the FPS is more of a technicality to be able to play at a site.

thats the common mistake i hear from my friends who all own jg's. fps does not male you better. the higher the fps, the more wear and tear will happen.plus you can have a verteran airsofter with a spring pistol vs a noob with a systema and the veteran will win.

@LieutenantScout Velocity does matter. But not nearly as much as rate of fire and range. Aslong as your shooting above 270 your fine if u have a high ROF. The trade off is Fps for lack of ROF and ROF for lack of fps but the reality is that fps or muzzle velocity does not matter unless you are aiming to hurt ppl. Also barrel length has nothing to do with how far a bb goes or how accurate it is. the Systema CQB is much more accurate than the m4. Hard to explain but true

Ive been playing airsoft for 8 years and I really dont think it matters. If you have a well tuned gun you dont need crazy amounts of fps to shoot a long distance. And you can play with any FPS gun you want if you arent a dumbass. High powered snipers are safe in the right hands but also sometimes unnecessary

@h4x0rm30 Right, if youre gun has more than 570 FPS, the Shots become unstable, and wont hit anything. And for Assault Rifles, 1,5J (or 410 FPS) is the best way to go, it is the best compromise between Range and Pain. But you need good accuracy too. TMs 280 is just too weak to reach farther out, and you can only play effective becaus eit has good accuracy.

In Airsoft, every gun should be limited to a certain FPS number.

Because you are totally taking a Marksmans Range advantage, if you have those 700 FPS M4 CQC's...

@RedemptionAirsoftTv Thats true, but it also depends on what kind of field you are playing in. Outdoor field with bushes and little trees will stop the BBs very fast. So I would say 400fps+ with 0.25 bbs or heavyer Imo. CQB is another history. When I play with my friends, we use low fps Air rifles as sniper lol. A softgun sniper is kinda fail compared to the range ect. But ofc then we have a safe sone for safety.

it's also incredibly dangerous at close ranges. in my experience some of the best shooting AEGs are stock TMs firing at 280 fps. you have good range, accuracy, and longevity of your gun.

where I play.. 280fps is crap.. but it's all about terrain because we have this decent space where 65 feet is as close as you get to an enemy without stealth.. and at close range we usually use handguns..

My TM M4 is about 300fps.. and that rifle has a range about 70 feet with .2bbs.. and usually the bbs don't reach the target while my AMG HK416 has 420fps out of the box and it's awesome :D

Very Nice! I live in South FL where Airsoft is almost non existant. We play in this abandoned wood land Area where you need range and ROF. Only problem is that you can't have a rifle because it is to long or an SMG becaue you need range and Compactness. I use a G&G GR300 M4 we have a range and it can hit target @ 150ft, BTW it's stock 370ish.

Real MP5 guns have semi auto and full auto. Other versions of the MP5 have 3 round burst too. That is why Systema airsoft guns cost so much money. They also have cylinders that are color coded that you canadjust the FPS without upgrading it or downgrading it.

They are quality weapons but made mostly for military, police training. Hence the name PTW(Personal Training Weapon), but I know a few guys who have the Systema M4. The thing about the M4 is that you can change the FPS piston assembly really quick and realisticly.
