  • It is a veil tail most common and cheapest tail type

  • WAIT WHAT TIPE IS THAT IT LOOKES LIKE MINE!

  • Aww such a lucky betta... I wish all betta owners were like this!

  • nice tank but needs a lid idk if you have one and just tok it off but bettas like to jump

  • What's the title song? And looove your tank!

  • bit dark dont you think?

  • How wonderful! It's like a mansion for Bettas. Thank you for saving him.

    Tiny Hearts Betta Rescue/ Facebook

  • really awesome tank!

  • nice what you can do is put more females. for company but you are so nice

  • If only we had more owners like you.x

  • beautiful fish and nice tank.

  • beautiful fish and nice tank

  • Ive got a planted aquarium, but I'm no gardener. because they are so cheap and you can get good deal i just pop to the shop and buy some more when they die. You have take out the plant straight away tho or it begins to rot and make the water bad.

And if you do go for live plants, go for ones that reach the surface; the Betta like to rest on these because its easier to pop up to the surface and breathe =]

  • preatty nice thank tho... congrats, he seems happy, thats the important thing.

  • You should put a lid on the tank, just to prevent it from possibly jumping out of the tank and from my eye it looks like you filled the water up to the rim.. when you are doing water changes you should leave 1 or 2 inches to give it a better breathing space. (:

  • Very nice :-)

  • Well done on the great home you have given your very lucky betta :)

  • OMG thats so weird!!

i went to petsmart and got the sickest looking betta and took him to my 3 gallon aquarium at home (hes now in a 10 gallon)

he looks exactlyyy like your fish. weirdd.

But yeah, he was SO shy at first, like if we made eyecontact his gills would stop moving and he would dart away into the other plants.

I'm going to try adding 3 other females to the tank and see how it goes since he has a non-dominant personality

  • :] YAY a betta who was sick got nursed back to health and now is a happy ALIVE betta fish!!!! If only there were alot more people like you!!! Great betta home GREAT!!

  • VERY NICE!!!

  • Beautifultank and betta. He/She looks very happy in that 39 GALLON tank!

  • I would like to congradulate for keeping your betta in such a tank. A 10 gallon tank is the way to go with these fish : )

I see you also have some artificial plants...which is fine. Its much better to have this than nothing.

Bettas often dont get along with other fish.

They are however, great tankmates for fish such a Corydoras and Cherry barbs.

You might want to check those out.

  • You are welcome! 39 is HUGE for just one betta. You can maybe look to divide it with DIY colour canvas plastic and give a home to a few more bettas. That was how I started with 1 and now I have 8 lol!

  • like i said bettas are ment to live alone...so im not going to make it share if it is more happy in a big tank..besides that i think he is used to the big tank since when i put him an a 10 gallon to clean out the big tank she sits at the bottom flaring and staying in one place..so yeah.. i think of it this way if ur going to live in a cage would u perfer to live in a big one with alot of rooom? :] and besides that my bf wont let me have any more :[...lol!

  • If you are looking for hardy begginer plants, look for Cryptocorynes, Anubias and Java Ferns...you cannot go wrong with them.

  • @nothingxbutxpoison im getting a ten gallon tank for my betta cuz he is currently in a 1 gallon tank. but he is only gonna be in there for a couple of days. i got my fish at walmart and if you want you can watch my videos and see how he turned out. im making a video soon about setting up my 10 gallon! FRIEND ME!!

  • Wow...your betta must be a happy happy betta! I am happy everytime I see a betta treated so well! I have a 29 gallon divided for my 6 bettas, heated and filtered and they have never been happier and their colours are sooo beautiful! I plant mine too, plants like Java Moss, Java Fern, Naja Grass, Vallisneria, Moss Ball, you do not need CO2 for these and they are low-light and easy to take care of. Bettas love Java Moss as mine lie down on it during the night.

  • that is so kool :] 29 i would like to see it if u ever get a chance to post it up :] i actually now upgraded my 10 gallon betta tank to a 39 for just one betta:] i think he likes it hes always patroling and swimming everywhere...people think they can be kept in community tank i dont think its true...i mean i wouldnt put a person that didnt like dogs in the a room filled with dogs and only cuz they are not fighting doesnt mean they like being in there with each other so i keep mine by itself :]

  • 39 is HUGE for 1 betta. Maybe look into dividing it with DIY coloured plastic canvas (they are cheap) & give a home to a few more bettas.I started with 1 and now I have 8?!lol. They don't make good community fish though you are right.

  • Just seen your comment that you upgraded to a 39 gallon. This is great : )

They are not community fish but they should live with some of the few mild species, such as Corydoras, Cherry Barbs and Danios.

  • ps: thank for the plant info i think i will be getting those instead thnx alot! :]

  • You're welcome. Start with Java Moss & Naja Grass & Marimo/Moss Ball. You can find Naja Grass on Freecycle sometimes as they grow like crazy without CO2! And Java Moss are easy to maintain and won't die easily.

  • I bought a betta that was sick too with fin rot and I am treating him for it! He is doing well now!

  • oh thats kool great to hear ur bettas fine now : ) my betta was so sad in his cup and when i put him in his 10 gallon he suddenly became active and swam like crazy :] and there are no more signs of his fin rot or bacteria thing he had :] but he is building his buble nest now...

  • It is nice to see a beautiful betta in a nice large home. I feel so sad when I see them in those little cups at the store. I don't have good luck with plants as my tap water is too hard.

  • yeah i wanted a 20 gallon but my bf said a ten would do...and yeah he was the sickest one there he had fin rot and a bateria infection and now its doing great and hes very active :) yeah i wanted to plant his tank but i still dont understand how the Co2 works..:[] im still doing research :)

  • i do this too. buy the sickest looking ones and nurse them back to health. they end up being the happiest little guys :-) i like the music too

  • Lovely tank! Is it a 10 gallon? It's nice to see that you gave him a large filtered and heated home to live in. You should get live plants! They're actually easier to take care of then most people expect. I have a 10 gallon with a betta as well, and it's planted. There are so many advantages to having live plants. If you want, send me a message and i'll tell you how to get started with plants. :)

  • thnx for the comment and yeah if u could give me tips on a planted tank and how the co2 if suppose to wrok...please and thank u :)
