Your REALLY good. I am a dancer to and I love to do gymnastics. My only advice to you is to always remember to point your feet when your in a Handstand!!
As you remember, I wrote here that I just started gymnastics, and now, 1 year after, I can FINALLY say that I can do splits, bends, and I'm learning front walkover and back handspring!
My spins are horrible do you have any advice on how to improve? Plus I am teaching myself so is there anyway I can make sure I am doing everything right or somewhere I can look for what the training for gymnastics should be?
you can definitely do gymnastics! You may not be in the olympics or get a scholarship but you can still be Gina and even compete if you set your mind to it! :) good luck
I'm not trying to be mean...this is just constructive criticism but...you need to point your feet big time...and you need to straighten your knees...but you're REALLY flexible! Keep dancing <3
Hey :) Im actually not a gymnast , but I love gymnastics! I'm trained in ballet tap jazz modern and comteparay and lyrical dance my entire life and I first started out with tap and ballet when I wad 3 years old. My advice to you is do it. If you Want to do gymnastics you should follow your heart, even if other people started younger is doesn't matter as long as your happy doing it. Goodluck :)!
@ayniess Just wanted to say, I'm 16 and it's the perfect time. xD I just started learning tae kwon do, but I've taken a little dance too. And your walk-overs are already way better than mine. lol
@ayniess well, I'm a gymnast, I just started this Feburary (And I'm 12) and I'm already level 9 recrational :) So I bet if you try, you'll easily learn anything you want to. The sport is just about following what your heart says (Yes, I realise that sounds cheesey, get over it, ahaha)
@ayniess im 14 and just started gymnastics, its going good, dont give up just becoz people say your old, you dont have to be in the olympics to have fun and be healthy!
@ayniess It's not impossible. I started when I was 16 too and can do all the stuff. If it's something you want to do, then go for it. You'll be great! :)
some tips, or things that you should work on are pointing your toes more and you could stretch out your foot to get a better point, making sure you are squared off or that your hips and shoulders are square and lined up, and that your legs are straight, not trying to put you down or criticize , but to help and i have to work on that stuff too, your doin great!
you're not squared. point your toes and if you want to hold your handstand use your fingers to grip. work on your back flexibility for your elbow stands. you have your own dance studio?
Don't you hate it when people tell you what you "need to work on"? Most people who offer only criticism can't do half of what you can do. No offense intended to the person who commented above. Great job. This is a good video.
shes pretty good

I started with gymnastics/dance when I was 13. We are training two times the week and it's fun.
I always was flexible and wanted to dance, so I'm happy to do it.
